Haha Emily, I was on a roll. Normally it takes me awhile to come up with questions.

You guys are coming up with some good questions!

Alissa, I loved Overboard, too! Great movie Oh, and I giggled about your purse. I recently downsized to a really small purse, for that very reason. Now I am forced to clean out my purse on a regular basis, so no more half-crumbled granola bars for me

Jina, be sure and ask me that question about the calorie-free food, too, when my turn comes around! I can't wait to answer that one. If you remember by then, since I'm last on the list, lol. Of course, at this point, if someone else signs up, I'll move up a slot and let them be last

Just one? I'm a major carb girl, so I'm going to say rice. I could do a LOT with rice if it were calorie free.
Oh man...I love rice too....especially fluffy white rice!

I would love to go spend time in Santorini, Greece. My parents went there a few years ago, and the pictures and stories they brought back made it look and sound like paradise.
I've always wanted to go to Greece too. The pictures I've seen are always so breathtaking.

Nope. I was born in MO and lived there until I was 6. 6-17 I lived in OH. Then at 17 (and a senior in high school ) I moved to CO.
Oh how interesting! I though you grew up in Colorado...lol.

He did awesome. It was my 24th birthday, and he planned a whole perfect day for me. He kind of went overboard, tbh. It was really really romantic. First, he took me to breakfast at my favorite breakfast place. Then, he took me to walk around the Denver Botanic Gardens, which is beautiful. Then he took me to a sandwich place that we both love to pick up sandwiches, and we had a picnic in a really pretty nearby park. We went home and just hung out for a while, and then he took me to get a manicure. Finally he drove me over to this park on the other side of town. The signifigance of this park is that a year before we first started dating, we had gone on a date where we went and got ice cream at this local place that was right next to the park. We walked over to the park and sat in the swings while we ate our ice cream, and very awkwardly, he asked me "Will you be my girlfriend?" I always teased him about that, because it was such a jr high moment. So went went back to that park, and he asked me to be his wife. Very, very sweet.
    Awww...how romantic!

Ok Jina, lol, here's my answer....

    ICE CREAM/FROZEN YOGURT!!!
More specifically, Moose Tracks frozen yogurt, Publix brand. TOTALLY needs to be calorie-free. 'Tiz not fair that it's 150 cals for 1/2 cup. Seriously, who eats 1/2 cup????

Oh yes! I try hard to like brown as much as I like white....but I just can't.

If you could trade places with a famous person for a day, who would it be?
Wow, that's a tough one! I would love to be really altruistic and say that I would trade places with someone who does a lot of humanitarian work or something. But actually, I think I would want to trade places with someone who is rich (so that I could afford to pamper myself outrageously for the day) and has no obligations on their time (so I wouldn't have to, like, work and stuff.) Paris Hilton? LOL!!!

If you could trade places with a non-famous person for a day, who would it be?
This is so ridiculous, but I've always kind of wanted to be a dog groomer. It just sounds like such a fun way to make a living. Sooooo....a dog groomer?

If you could travel though time, where you go?
The ice age. Ever since the Clan of the Cave Bear books, I have been fascinated with that time period and how people lived back then.

    What scares you?
Silly fear - bugs. Not all of them, but a lot of them. I hate spiders, bees, horseflies, anything that has the potential to bite me or sting me and hurt me.
Deeper fear - DH dying before me. It's stupid, but I sometimes fret about the fact that one of us is going to die before the other. I don't want DH to die first. It's like that Winnie the Pooh quote "If you live to be 100, I hope that I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you."

    Do you have any regrets?
Yes. I wish I would have figured out what I wanted to be when I grow up when I was in my early 20's and didn't have a lot of obligations. It's hard to take the time and possibly the pay cut when you have a family.

What makes you roll your eyes/cringe?
Overuse of the word "chica". See also "You go girl!"

If they made a movie about your life, what genre would it be and who would play you?
Definitely a comedy. My philosophy is to laugh so you don't cry. Emma Stone would play me.

I'm horrible about questions, and I can't think of any. I do want to say how much I'm enjoying your answers.

What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Are you a neat freak or super laid back or somewhere in-between about how clean your house is?
Are you super organized, middle-of-the-road, or don't care?
Is there something that we might be surprised to know about you?

What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Weekends are really my time to spend with T, but they are also my best shot at cleaning and whatnot, so I always have to balance fun time with chores. I try to do a variety of things with T on the weekends: go to the park, go swimming at our rec center, et cetera. Today my SIL and I are taking him to a "Fall Festival" at this big farm about 45 minutes outside of metro Denver. They have hay rides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a petting zoo, and the world's largest cornucopia. LOL

Are you a neat freak or super laid back or somewhere in-between about how clean your house is?
I think somewhere in between. My rule is that my house must not be gross, but it can be a little "lived in". So, a few books or toys left out in the living room, meh, no big deal. Gross kitchen or toilets - unacceptable.

Are you super organized, middle-of-the-road, or don't care?

Again, I think middle of the road. I definitely would not call myself disorganized, but I also wouldn't say super organized either.

Is there something that we might be surprised to know about you?
Hmmmm.....I can't think of anything truly shocking about myself....but you might be surprised to know that as a teen I was totally anti-marriage and anti-kids. Not just that I wasn't ready for them, but I thought that I never wanted either. I can't even remember why now. LOL

Thanks again for setting this up Mary. This was fun.
