What are the rooms in your house like? Describe each room including the color scheme, etc.

    Favorite meal?

    Do you like to cook?

Is there anything you are obsessed about?

    What annoys you the most?

If a relative called right now and said they needed to come stay with you in two days, approximately how long would it take you to get your house cleaned and ready? (I got the idea for this question from the Flylady ~ her goal is to get all her "flybabies" to the point eventually where they can clean their house and have it guest-ready in 30 minutes flat. Personally, I am NOT there yet, lol )

LOL Mary - I am definitely not there yet either!

What is one book that you could read over and over again?
    All time favorite movie?
If you could spend one week "in the life of" someone else (famous or not) who would you choose?
What is your absolute favorite room in your house?
What were you like in high school?
    How did you meet M?

What are the rooms in your house like? Describe each room including the color scheme, etc.

Oh boy…I’m not very good at describing things so please bear with me.

Let’s see….My living room has a giant beige sectional with about a million pillows (I’m a pillow hoarder!) and a few throw blankets. All of my tables and bookshelves are dark wood and pretty much everything has their proper place. The walls are bone white and the curtains are light linen color. I dunno….every time people come over they always comment on how relaxing and quiet my house is. Pretty much people come over and fall asleep on my couch! lol.

My dining room has a dark square counter height table with 8 chairs. The walls have chair rail and it is bone white on top and warm beige on bottom with 3 large pictures hanging on one wall.

My kitchen has black cabinets and light counters and floors with stainless steel appliances. I have a few bright yellow accents.

My guest bathroom has black cabinets and dark wood floors with greenish khaki walls which I dislike very much. I have no idea why I decided to paint the bathroom that color….I’m thinking about re-painting it. I’ve already picked out a color. It’s called “urban mist” by Behr.

My hubby’s office has a rather large black corner desk that takes up 2 walls. He has a gaming computer, a laptop with a docking station that has 2 monitors. I don’t really like going in there because the room makes me nervous with all the equipment in there. It’s actually a lot better now that he has taken his servers to a data center. Lol

The spare bedroom has 3 large black bookshelves a sleeper couch and two end tables and a black desk. This is where people sleep when they spend the night!

The Master bedrooms has black furniture, white bedding and light colored walls and French doors that lead out to the pack patio.

The Master bath is pretty much the same as the guest bath but it’s bigger!

That’s about it. I guess you could describe my home as neutral, contemporary and clutter free.

    Favorite meal?

Oh man….this is hard because I LOVE food.
I would have to say onion naan bread, chicken curry and saag paneer from my favorite Indian joint.

    Do you like to cook?

I LOVE to cook. I love trying new recipes and coming up with new ones as well. I try to at least try 2 new recipes a week and Hubby really appreciates that!

Is there anything you are obsessed about?

    Shoes!

    What annoys you the most?

Well…I think it’s a toss-up between when things are “unfair” and selfish people. I can’t stand it when things are unbalanced. Hey, I’m a Libra…lol.

Hmmm….I keep my house pretty neat so maybe just a few hours to re-wash sheets and blankets and to make sure the room has been aired out.

What is one book that you could read over and over again?

This is a hard question! I can’t make a decision like this on the spot…lol. Oh gosh….um….I will say that out of all the books I’ve read in the past year or so, Memoires of a Geisha really stands out for me.

    All time favorite movie?

    Lord of the Rings Trilogy

If you could spend one week "in the life of" someone else (famous or not) who would you choose?

Um….I would love to spend a week as Angelia Jolie. I would love to see what her life is really like jet setting around the world with 6 beautiful children and a hunky husband. I wonder if it’s truly as glamorous as it looks or incredible stressful and tiring?

What is your absolute favorite room in your house?

My favorite room is the Master bedroom because that’s where the magic happens! lol…JK.
No, seriously, my favorite room is the Master bedroom because it’s very peaceful. I love to curl up in bed with a good book with the French doors open especially if it’s raining.

What were you like in high school?

I was a rebel for sure. I skipped classes and hung out with an older crowd and did a lot of things I’m not very proud of. I don’t really like to think about that time in my life, to be perfectly honest. It’s not that I mind talking about it, I just don’t feel comfortable writing about it on a public forum. I was going through a lot of difficult things at the time (PM me if you’re really curious) but when I met my Hubby things definitely changed for the better.

    How did you meet M?

He was 19 and working at B&N with my best friend and a big group of people were going to D&B after work so I decided to tag along. I was kinda tipsy and asked him to tie my shoelaces for me (I wasn't really serious) and he kneeled down and tied them and the rest is history!

Did I mention how much I love that we're doing this? Such a neat way to get to know everyone better.

I don't think I've ever tried Indian food. What is onion naan bread and saag paneer? How is the Indian version of chicken curry different from other versions? I had a dish one time at a special church function and someone said it was chicken curry, and the speaker was Jewish. It was THE best chicken curry I had every had, hands down. Talk about melt-in-your-mouth!

Onion naan bread is middle eastern/Asian flat bread stuffed with onion and saag paneer a curried spinach and cheese dish. You should find an Idian restaurant and try it out!

Here is all the info you'll ever need about curry!

Personally, Thai yellow and Indian chicken curries are my favorite!

What is your favorite vacation spot?

I don’t really have a favorite vacation spot. I’ve been to some amazing places but I wouldn’t call any one of them my favorite “spot”. I do love to go on road trips. I love just grabbing a map and driving without a real plan. I find this to be the most relaxing for me. I don’t really enjoy flying too much. I find it extremely stressful for some reason, especially when leaving the country.

    Favorite TV show?

Hmmm….right now it’s The Walking Dead. My taste is constantly changing and evolving so it’s hard for me to pick a favorite of any kind. Oh and I have a hard time making decisions too so answering question on favorites are especially difficult for me.

    Favorite actor/actress?

Wow, I have a lot of favorite actors and actresses but since I can only choose one, I would have to say Sandra Bullock. She was amazing in The Blind Side.

    Any pets? Please describe.

I have a 6 lb. Tiny Tot Rat Terrier and I love him to death!

    Favorite recreational activity?

I very much enjoy hiking. I haven’t been doing much of it lately but I used to hike most weekends. I used to love exploring new parks….I really want to start back up again. It seems like TTC and going through miscarriages have a way of putting everything else in your life on hold. I don’t enjoy life like I used to and I hate that. I want to start living again and enjoy the things I used to!
