What was your favorite subject in school?

When you were a kid, what was your dream job?

    What is your favorite color?
    Red

Describe the rooms in your house (type of decor, color scheme, etc.)---or, if it's not decorated the way you want, then describe how you would "like" it to be.
I don't really know what my style in my home is. Right now it's a work in progress. But my style is basically conteperary. I like the classic designs with a sleek modern twist.
I have lots of colors. Toupe base color, mustard yellow in the bathroom with black and silver accents. Kitchen is apple green. Master bedroom is rust orange up to a chair rail, then toupe above that. I like long curtains, but light material. I HATE BLINDS.

If you could paint a painting that portrays your personality, what would it look like?
Claude Monet, The Path among the Irises

From a distance, it all makes sense, and is absolutely magnificent. But if you looked up close or only at a select portion; it's messy, confusing, and splattered together.

    What is your favorite meal?
I lOVE SNACKING!!!! I love food, but I'd eat cheesy popcorn above anything else.
It has to be air popped popcorn. Melt about 1 tbls margarine with about 2 slices of velveeta cheese. Mix it well, and pour it over the popcorn. Mix the popcorn up so that you get the cheese on much of it. Don't knock it till you try it.

    Do you have any phobias?
I'm dealthy afraid of bears. To the point where we went to the zoo, and I started crying when I saw them.

    Do you have any pets?
I've got a pomeranian/chihuahua cross - about 10 years old, her name is Lady Bug
I've got a full bread chihuahua - He's about 4, slightly retarded, and his name is Hemi
I've got a few guppies in a small tank that I enjoy.

If you had one week left to live what would you do?
I have many ideas, but I don't know what I'd do for sure. Probably first work my butt off to get the financials in order so my family wouldn't have to. Organize my funeral so that it'd be a party instead of a wake. Spend a butt load of time with my babies, husband, and parents.

    What is your favorite animal?
    Dolphin (because mermaids aren't real)

If they made a movie about your life, what genre would it be and who would play you
    It'd definitely be a comedy!
I LOVE Sandra Bullock. So I'd like her to play me.

Would you rather have a really bad chest cold, or the stomach flu?
Flu. Definitely. Flu you feel like crap and you can rest. Nasty cold, you can't breath, you can't lay down cause of the congestion, you can't sit up cause of the sickness either, just misserable. At least with the flu, you can loose a few pounds right?

What was your favorite subject in school?
    Recess?
No, I hated school. Despised it. I was an A/B student, and I rarely did any homework.

When you were a kid, what was your dream job?
    Cosmetology.
I LOVE doing hair and nails.

What's your favorite thing about where you live?
    Nothing

What do you like least about where you live?
We'd leave this hell hole in a heartbeat if we could. I have a great group of people to ride with. But I have that at home. I love open space of the country, and I live in the city. I love the mountains. Here has great mountains to the east, but a big stinking pile of crap called The Great Salt Lake that isn't worth the brine that lives in it (that's the only thing that lives in it, it's too salty). I'm innendated (sp?) at least once a week by unwanted religious views that I don't agree with. It's getting better as I get to know more poeple, but it's still too much. I'm a college graduated that can't find a job because I don't have the right last name, or over qualified, or don't know someone's sister. We would have left when my husband got laid off, but we can't sell this house without taking a loss, and we can't afford a loss.
    I hate this place.

    What's your favorite candy?
Ooh, that's a toss up. If I'm going for a chocolate type of candy, It's Reece's Pieces. I just found this, I want this NOW!

If it's more fruity, It'd have to be Twizzlers.

    Who got you into riding?
That's another story. It all starts back when my dad, an insurance agent, basically forbade me to ever get on a bike. Of course, I ALWAYS do as I'm told, and jumped on the first crotch rocket riding guy's bike. But my dad surprised me with buying his first Harley when I was in college. My DH bought a Harley Sportster on a whim while we were visiting friends out of town. So I started riding behind him then. We started riding with my Club shortly after that and my dad made me take the beginner's riding class. Then I decided to get my own. There you have it.

    What makes you smile?
Love. When my girls give me love, when/if my DH does something loving. When my friends come together for a good time.

If you could travel through time, when and where would you go?
I would love to travel back to the time when the Indians roamed the plains.
Before the cowboys came. Could you imagine living and working for yourself and your family? Taxes were paid by working together, and supporting eachother. And it's all within family. You don't have to pay for someone you didn't know or care about.

I LOVE Autumn. I love sweatshirt weather. I hate being hot, and I get sick of the snow after a short while (even though it's quite beautiful).

    What's your favorite scent?
    Vanillia

    Do you like candles?
I do!!! But now they have such wonderful non-candle scent things (like scentsy), and neat fake candles. You don't have to worry about the smoke, danger, and mess.

Do you do the whole Santa Claus thing at Christmas with your kids? Why or why not?
Yes, but not to a huge extent. Due to budget, and MY tradition growing up we don't do a HUGE Santa routine. We do one large gift from us (mom and dad), and Santa brings stalkings, and some small fun things.

Do you do a Christmas tree, and decorate the house?
Right now we have a small 4 foot tree that I put up on my end table right in front of the window. It looks from the outside a nice tall tree, but it's not. While growing up my grandparents gave me (and my brother) an ornament each year for christmas. So when I moved out I'd have ornaments to decorate my tree. So that's what I use. One of these years I'll buy a large tree and buy some nice decorations and this small one will become the kid's tree.

And, Yes, I decorate the house. I have a nativity scene my mother made. I have some cute stuffed animals and floor decor. It's not a lot, but it's about 2 large totes worth.

Do you bake cookies/goodies with your kids at Christmas?
Yes, (this has a story too)

While growing up my other grandma would send us Christmas cookies. This grandma was a snowbird, so she (and grandpa) would spend the entire summer with us and then travel to Arizona for the winter, so we never spent Christmas with them. We'd get a huge box every year with her home made cookies. They were No-Bake, Cressants, and Peanut Butter Blossoms. Usually another kind too, but that was always there.

Well, a few years ago my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She can't cook any more, so for the past few years I've made the cookies, sent them to my brother, my BIL's family, My parent's, and my Grandma. Of course we keep some at our house. So it's become a bit of a tradition.

That is so sweet! I love it. What a wonderful tradition to carry on.

Awww I agree, that is so sweet that you are continuing the tradition of your grandma!!!! How awesome is that. It has special meaning to me because my dad also has Alzheimer's.
