Sure, Alissa. Good idea. Next week it is.
Is it really "next week" already? Wow. Well, guess it's time to ask away. Even though I'm no longer ttc, I don't mind being in the hot seat anyway (I think)![]()

What is one thing that you like to do to pamper yourself?
If you had a whole day to yourself (DH and DD were both gone for the day) what would you do?
What is your least favorite household chore?
One that you don't mind?
Who is one person that inspires you?
What are your pet peeves?
What is your favorite type of music to listen to?It's a toss up between soft rock (as long as it's actual music and not just noise, and has a good message, lol), and African American-inspired gospel music. Our African American friends really know how to put 'soul' into their music, and I like that.I also like some gospel country, like the Gaither Brothers, and other gospel country as well.
What is one of the artists/groups that will make you change radio stations if their song comes on? Hmmm... there are a few. One would be Third Day.
How would you describe your personality? I tend to be more of an introvert, but the funny thing about that is that I can also very outgoing and upbeat with people that I can relate to. I love kidding around and not taking life too seriously, though I can also be very analytical. I'm definitely a "thinker."
Is DD more like you, or DH? DEFINITELY more like me. So much so that it's scary. However, she gets her goofiness from DH, for sure and certain. I am so not goofy... love to kid around, yes... goofy, no. I feel like it's 'beneath me' or something. Hahahaha. Though sometimes I pretend to be goofy for my DD's sake
What does your house look like? Not sure how much detail you want, but here goes: We have the privilege of living in a house on wheels; a.k.a., a mobile home. Hey, we live in the country, so it's allowed. Not my first choice, but it's just where we're at right now. And the best part? It's paid for
It's as large as a double wide, without actually being a double wide, if that makes sense. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. The living room is separated from the kitchen by a bar/counter.
Kitchen: Beautiful marble countertops (put in by DH), custom built oak cabinets on one side; all smaller appliances are stainless steel with black trim, stove is white with black back, refrigerator is also white, with black trim. Oak dining room table (round) with matching oak chairs. Wallpaper is a flowing flower-on-vine design, with mostly blue accents and a beige background (it's old, though, and needs replacing). The floor also needs replacing, it's old and outdated, beige and brown vinyl tiles--yuck, lol.
Living Room: Widescreen TV on top of a custom built (by DH) oak entertainment center, couch on opposite side (in front of bar), and maroon easy chair in the corner. The couch is a flower design: maroon, green, and beige. Oak wood floors, which also runs down the length of the hallway.
Home office: It's neatly tucked into one corner of the living room ~ oak desk, metal beige file cabinet, silver flatscreen TV computer monitor (given to us by my brother).
Master bedroom: Plywood floors, with area rugs. White walls, will eventually add fancy trim (probably dark beige, not sure yet). Will eventually be carpeted.
Bathrooms: Guest has pine-green rugs with matching shower curtain, typical mobile home style tub (vinyl), yellow spackled walls (yes, spackledit was there when DH bought the place--they need to be de-spackled and repainted a different color), and outdated 60's style vinyl tile floor (which I hide with the rugs, lol). Master has newer vinyl tile (put in by DH), white with gray/blue accents, and a white pedestal sink with silver faucet.
Hannah's bedroom: Multi-colored carpet, baby blue walls (her favorite color) with princess accents, custom-built shelving from floor to ceiling, dark pink bedspread and pillow sham.
Spare bedroom: Is being used as a storage room. I hope to turn it into a guest room/craft room soon. We have a large storage trailer on the property, so it's just a matter of boxing everything up and moving it over there.
The whole place needs a LOT of work, which we've been slowly doing.
What was your favorite subject in school? P.E.?No, seriously... probably Art. Though I liked History and Geography, too.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? That's a tough one, because I haven't been to that many placesOnly a handful of other states, and I've never left the U.S., though I did leave the coast once on a cruise ship
If I were to guess, based on what I've heard and seen in pics, I'd say New Zealand.
What is your favorite movie ever? Another hard one. If I had to pick, I'd have to say "The Ten Commandments," with Charlton Heston. Such a classic movie, and the acting was awesome.
What is your favorite meal? A really good pizza, with honey-mustard wings dipped in Ranch sauce, followed by frozen yogurt/ice cream
What is your favorite dessert? See above
Do you enjoy being a SAHM? To be honest, at first I didn'tI had worked outside the home for so many years, that it was really weird for me in the beginning. But once I got used to it, I did better. Now that I"m working from home, plus working part-time outside the home, most of which is done while my DD is in school, I'm even happier
What keeps you up at night? If I'm worried or concerned about someone in my family, or a good friend.
Name one thing you are insecure about. My seeming lack of ability to stay focused (I get distracted so easily sometimes that it scares me). For example, when I was cleaning for my step mom this morning, I took the clothes out of her washer and put them in the dryer, then put the dryer sheet in. Then I put the next load of dirty clothes in the washer, put the detergent in, then turned it on and walked away to go do some cleaning. Came back later when I heard that the washer was finished and got ready to put the clothes in the dryer, when I suddenly remembered that I never turned on the dryer! (Not that I do that one thing all the time, lol, but things 'like' that).
Name one thing you are confident about. My English grammar and spelling. I seemed to have always had a knack for it.
Do you have any regrets? Sure do. I wish I would have had more confidence in myself and a better head on my shoulders as a young girl, so that I would have waited for the right guy to come along before getting married (the first time). It would have saved me a LOT of heartache.
What is on your Christmas wish list? A laptop, or an elliptical.
What is your family favorite activity? Watching a good movie together (that we can all watch and be happy with).
What do you do to relax? Read a book or magazine. I also like walking through the mall and browsing/shopping, alone or with a friend.

What is one thing that you like to do to pamper yourself? Get a pedicure and manicure done at a salon (I usually do it myself).
If you had a whole day to yourself (DH and DD were both gone for the day) what would you do? Make some popcorn and laze on the couch while watching a good chick flick or two, then go browsing through some malls/stores, then come back and read a good book and maybe a couple of magazines. Maybe even take a nap in there somewhere.
What is your least favorite household chore? DISHES! Hands down. I'd rather scrub toilets. Weird, I know.
One that you don't mind? Laundry. Until I get too far behind, then it becomes evil.
Who is one person that inspires you? My step mom. She is such a hard worker, and so organized. She has done AMAZING things with my dad's house (the house I grew up in).
What are your pet peeves? I have one main big one: CRAZY DRIVERS. I don't know which is worse, the fast ones who act like they OWN the road, lol, or the slow ones who REFUSE to move over. Today I had TWO mud-turtles driving the same speed and I couldn't get around EITHER one of them. Then one of them FINALLY sped up a little, so I was like, "YES! Finally!" and got behind him. THEN guess what he did? SLOWED DOWN EVEN MORE! Gah!I think he just wanted to annoy me.
