Time for a new thread!

How is everyone today? Looks like it's going to be cloudy here today. Not sure if it's supposed to rain or not, need to check the weather report.

I feel like I could sleep for a week. Yesterday I had my younger two (1,3) my friends younger two (1,4), a Deaf 2 year old that has many health issues including a feeding tube and random times of not breathing and passing out, my friend from out of town, and a troubled teenager that can't be left alone. And they are all coming back this afternoon... Tomorrow I will get the boy I had been babysitting back that I have not had in over a month (2) and will have the Deaf 2 year old back. The Deaf 2 year old has a 6 week old sister that is in the hospital on o2 with a very bad case of RSV so we have had her a lot this week.

Like I said, I could sleep for a WEEK.

Yay! New thread! Biggrin

Lenora, I think it's awesome that your hubs works for Activision! My hubby loves Call of Dut. I was addicted to the Sims....I had all of the expansion packs and was playing non-stop all the time and finally had to give it up lol! The Sims 3 had so many bugs I just gave up playing and I'm glad I did....sheesh!

Val, Hi there, I hope you had a great B-day!

Lisa, haha...love the mooning! I know....oh man the chicken was soooo good! It was so juicy and crispy....and afterwards I felt like I had dunked my entire body in a bathtub full of oil! lol.

Alissa, Pizza sounds yummy too! Oh gosh, I guess I'll be having pizza soon too....lol.

Amanda, Hi!!

Mary, I'm going to have to try that recipe! It really does look yummy and if it's better than fried chicken I'm sure I'll be having it all the time! haha! Oh, and it's pretty overcast here too. It's supposed to rain this afternoon....thank goodness....we really need some rain.

Bonita, yay! can't wait to see pics of your little darlings!

Katherine, Congrats again on you BFP! I'm looking forward to getting to know you and hopefully we'll be on the same BB!

Chadae, Mmmmm....go ahead and make some and send it over here....k?

AFM, I am second guessing everything I've done so far this cycle. I took another OPK this morning and it was almost positive... I need to step away from the tests! Plus, I don't have the normal symptoms of O....

Today I have a lot of work to get done since I did NOTHING yesterday, So I'll be on later after I get a few chores done to update everyone, but I had to stop by and brag a bit, (YES, it's the same brag in the living healthy thread)

Today is day 30 of personal 30 day challenge, and ...

Jina ~ hmmm that's odd you got an almost +! Which day did you get your +OPK again? You had EWCM, right? If so, then you probably did O. I can't remember, do you temp?

I just talked to DH on the phone a little while ago and he wants me to go with him on his trip to Tampa on the day this week he has to go pick up some materials. His boss said it would be fine. We wouldn't be able to take Hannah, so I need to find someone to watch her, probably here at our house since Hannah has all her toys/dvds here. We would be gone about 8-10 hours. It will be nice to have some one-on-one time with DH for that long, I can't remember the last time we spent that much time together without Hannah. Probably before she was born, LOL. It will have to be someone I really trust and be able to handle Hannah for that long. It will be weird being away from her that long and she won't know how to act without either of us for that long, either. It will be the first time she's been without either of her parents that long!

She'll be okay, right? (I know, I'm being silly. Can't help it.)

Mary, I got a + OPK on CD 18 at 11 PM (Saturday). It was positive the next morning (9 AM) and then it was negative that afternoon (2PM). It was a very short surge...If I had taken the tests at 3 PM once daily like I used to do then I would have missed the surge. I guess being a POAS addict has paid off. No, I don't temp and no EWCM....I don't get a lot of CM and I haven't had any EWCM yet either...stupid body!

Yay, alone time with your hubby sounds awesome! I'm sure it will be good to spend some alone time together. Awww....I'm sure Hannah will be fine. Biggrin

Mary - Do you have any family nearby that can watch Hannah? Both my parents and DH's parents sometimes take T over night (not often, maybe once every couple of months) and he loves it and they love it (and we love it too - it's nice to have alone time sometimes, and super nice to sleep in.) I was totally on edge the first time he was away over night, but then again he was only 14 months old. I'll bet Hannah will be just fine, but I'm sure it will help if it is someone that she knows and loves like a family member or close family friend.

Lisa - I said it in the HL thread too, but :woohoo: for losing 10 lbs. We are SO PROUD of you!!!!!

Bonita - Geeez! I would be exhausted! That is a LOT to take on. I hope that things slow down a little bit for you soon. I think I would pass out! LOL

Katherine - Happy birthday to your little one. She is beautiful! And congrats on your BFP!

Jina - Almost positive is still negative, right? Smile It's weird that you got a dark one, but unless it gets completely positive again, I would still assume that prob the positive ones that you took before are correct. I will say, however, that I know of a girl on PO that had kind of the same thing happen and she turned out to be knocked up (Mary, I'm talking about Kate from the BBT board) so maybe that's a positive sign. Smile

AFM - OPKs still negative, which I kind of halfway expected because I think that I usually O on CD15 or 16, so that makes sense, but I'm still starting to wonder. These OPKs are kind of weird anyway - for some reason they are different from other OPKs - they recommend that you use FMU. I have been testing twice a day to make sure that I don't miss anything (FMU, and then one in the late afternoon) but it's kind of weird because a faint line appears with the FMU tests, but not with the afternoon tests. The faint line isn't weird, I know that most women produce a little bit of LH all of the time, and I had that the last time I used OPKs. I just find it odd that every day there is a faint line with the FMU, but NOT with the afternoon tests. I guess they are right, that you really need to use FMU for them to work right, but then that makes me wonder why they are different from other tests, and also makes me worry that I am going to miss my surge if the test can ONLY detect the LH in the FMU (for whatever reason).

Anyway, I'm not just relying on the OPKs. I am DTD every other day this week until I get a pos OPK (then it's on like Donkey Kong, lol!) or until I get a thermal shift that confirms O.

I think next month I may try a different kind of OPKs.

Bonita, I missed the post about you babysitting all of those kids! You must be exhausted! Haha....I don't think I have any energy left to BD anymore...lol. I've been somewhat following the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan).

Alissa, Oh man....that would be awesome if I was actually KU. Oh geez, now I'm probably going to poas even more now! haha! I honestly don't think it matters when you test with OPKs. I mean, if there is a surge then the test should pick it up no matter what time it is, you know? I think it's a good idea for you to test twice a day. For me, my surge starts late at night. So, I can see why FMU would be a good time to detect the hormone. I've been using OPKs from EPT.com but I think I might try out the Wondfo brand next...it's a lot cheaper anyway.

Lisa, Congrats again girlie! Now go shake your friend down for a movie and some (healthy) yum yums!

ETA - I'm going to listen to the unicorn song all day! It makes me sooo happy!

In that case it is a bit odd to get an almost + again, but our LH can fluctuate a lot during the 2ww. However, it couldn't hurt to keep testing until you're sure you aren't getting the "real" + just now. If you get another + and it's darker than the first one then I would go with that one. Either way I hope this is your month!

LOL @ "Donkey Kong." I used to love playing that game all the time as a kid. Hope you get a + soon! Those opks will probably pick up the LH surge whether it's FMU or afternoon, it would probably just be a little darker with FMU.

LOL about the song. It's too cute. Hannah LOVES that movie.

Well it looks like Hannah's grandma will be watching her on Thursday. I was worried about Hannah being too much for her to handle for a whole day, but she thinks it will be fine and Hannah is excited about it, so I feel better now Smile

Different subject: I went out to my mini-van earlier to get the fingernail clippers out of the glove box and there was some type of stench in there (more on that in a minute), so I went to put the windows down to air it out and they went down really slow, so I was like, Uh-oh... so I tried to start the engine and... nothing. So the battery is dead, obviously. I called DH and he said it probably happened after I left the back hatch open two nights ago. He offered to come home and jump it off, but I told him naaaa I didn't really NEED to go anywhere today so told him to just do it when he got home. The reason I left the hatchback open is because my hands were full, so I was going to go back out to close it, and apparently I got distracted and forgot. Oops. He said last night that he hoped one of the male cats didn't get in there and "spray" -- well apparently one of them did. BLECK! lol.

So anyway, I took Hannah for a walk and we wound up walking to McDonald's for lunch. She had the grilled chicken snack wrap and apple juice, and I had the McDouble and a few fries and bought a Pepsi Throwback ahead of time at the convenience store next door (the one made with real sugar instead of HFCS). Oh and I also had a plain vanilla sundae (which is just the ice cream--or is it frozen yogurt they use?). It was nice to get out of the house, and nice and cool outside, too (though cloudy).

Oh and by the way, it's been going well with Hannah's diet and exercise. I've been limiting her to 2 cups of milk per day and 1 cup of apple juice (or 1 juice box), and the rest is water (thankfully she likes water), and no sweets for now, and I'm giving her fruit instead. I've also increased her vegetable intake. I make her a deal where if she eats all her carrots (5 baby carrots) at lunchtime then she can have some grapes. She goes for it every time Smile I can tell she's losing weight already. Too bad I'm not doing the same  I need to find an alternative to frozen yogurt because I think I am officially addicted to that stuff and can't seem to help going overboard with it. Ugh.

ETA: Just wanted to clarify, she's not on a "diet" as in the kind you and I would go on, but it's simply a "better" diet than the one she had before. Didn't want anyone thinking I was putting a 4-yr old on a strict "diet," LOL.

Mary - OMG, that's awful about the van! I am literally horrified at the idea of a random male cat coming along and spraying inside your van. I hope that it airs out quickly.

I think that it's wonderful that you have been getting Hannah to eat better. I think that the combined healthier diet and a little bit more exercise should get her in great shape in no time. As to the frozen yogurt, could you try measuring it out with measuring cups? That is what I did with my sorbet - I would take out a 1/2 cup measuring cup, and that way I knew exactly how much sorbet I could have and stay within my plan. I looked on line, and it looks like froyo averages around 230 calories per cup, so if you ate a 1/2 cup you would only be having around 115 calories. If that satisfies your sweet tooth, I think that's totally worth it. Assuming you only eat the half cup, LOL.

Jina - I can't get youtube at work, so I will have to check out the unicorn song from home. I'm intrigued.

Bonita - Oh no, I will keep that baby in my thoughts! T has RAD and had pneumonia last year (hospitalized twice) so I know that they really get nervous if the O2 levels go lower than the high 80's, and high 90's is the norm. Poor baby! What are they doing for her? Are they going to have to put her on a ventilator?

Mary, yeah, I am going to keep testing to see what happens. I love the movie too....I love the soundtrack as well!

 Oh my gosh, I can't believe a cat sprayed the inside of your van! I hope the smell goes away soon! This reminds me....I had a dog who got sprayed in the face but a skunk twice! Oh my gosh, it was horrible. It sounds like Hannah hasn't really noticed a change in her "diet". I think that's great! It would be much harder if she was asking for "bad" foods but it sounds like she's doing just fine. Biggrin

Alissa, It's the unicorn song from the movie Despicable Me. It's really cute!

Hey Ladies! I'm stealing some time from work to check in and say, "hello"!
I haven't had time to catch up with all the posts. Will do that tonight. I just hope everyone is doing well!

AFM- I am starting to feel pg now! That both excites me and scares me at the same time. I go to see the prerinatologist tomorrow and should be able to see the hb. I have been on pins and needles since the + hpt!
I have been: checking tp everytime I go to the bathroom. I mean REALLY inspecting it for the slightest discoloration, checking boobs for tenderness, gauging how much nausea I have. Crazy I know!
One thing I doing different this time around is using progesterone cream. I use double the dose twice a day.
What are the chances of having another missed mc? I wannt to be excited but my fear is out weighing my joy at the moment.

Please pray for a sticky, light flashing (heartbeat) bean on the scan tomorrow! I will KUP!

Tamara - Possitive thoughts comming your way!!!! I hope tomorrow's appt goes great!

Mary - You are a great mommy! You are doing so well adjusting Hannah's food choices. WTG MOMMY!!! Sorry about the van. What a PITA!!!!! Fabreeze maybe?

OOFTA I got a few things done today. Our riding club has our big Charity ride comming up this weekend and I had a few things to put together. I'm also having about 60 out of state riders comming in and using our house as homebase. They have hotel rooms just up the road, but our house will be open to all. So we'll have a party on Firday and Saturday, those comming up with children, this is where the sitters will be. Anyway, I gotta get the house ready for all that too. It's crazy. I got most of our laundry done so tomorrow I can wash all the sheets in the house (inevitably someone will crash here). Gotta mop the floor, vaccume, bathrooms, and I have a HUGE mess in the extra room that needs to be cleaned out. All to be done by Friday morning when I have to move to the outside and pick up poo, and get the outside cleaned up. Gonna be fun!!

I buy frozen yogurt that is anywhere from 100 cals to 130 cals per 1/2 cup and I do measure it, but 1/2 cup is like a huge a joke to me (what's that... three bites? C'mon!), so I always wind up eating at least a cup, if not two cups! I LOVE the kind that I buy, and crave it like crazy.

You're right, she hasn't really noticed the change... she does still ask for the "bad" foods, though, like today she asked for chicken nuggets at McDonald's. Thankfully she also likes the grilled chicken wrap, so she was perfectly happy with the alternative. She also asked for chocolate milk, but I told her she could have juice instead and she was good Smile I would have let her have white milk, but then she wouldn't have been able to have milk with dinner. Sundays will be her treat days, where I'll let her have chocolate milk in place of one cup of white milk, and one cookie if she wants. She IS a kid, after all. Smile I'll be flexible, too.

I will KUP!

It's understandable to be nervous. :goodluck: tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you! Hope the preparation goes smoothly!

DH got my van jumped off and I let it run for awhile, then he'll re-check it in the morning before he goes to work to make sure it still starts. When I got in to start the engine, I didn't notice the smell anymore, so I don't know if it faded or if I just didn't notice. We'll see what it smells like tomorrow.

Little Miss sassy pants is at it again tonight. I put her in time out because when I gave her a cup of water to drink, I specifically told her NOT to pour any of it out or put her fingers in it (yes, I have to tell my 4-yr old not to do these things ). So what does she do not FIVE minutes after I tell her this? She pours some out on the table so she can "play" in it. So while she's in the time out chair, she starts trying to play with the cat who's near her chair and I tell her that she can't, and to be quiet until her time out is over. As I'm still talking, she looks right at me and puts her finger slowly up to her mouth to tell ME to be quiet!

I'm going to go all gray before I'm 45, I just know it.

Bonita, it sounds like my ordeal with Miss Sassy pants was nothing compared to what you're going through! Bless your heart! I sure hope you can get some good rest tonight. You are so awesome to help your friends out like that.

Thanks. I am waiting on one more child to fall asleep, and then I am going to BED. I am nervous of going to sleep with the one Deaf girl here. I know she has been known to just stop breathing and she does not have any of her monitors or her feeding tube here at my house. Not counting on sleeping soundly. I am so exhausted my body might just win out though. I think I might have lost a little today even though I over ate at dinner simply from the fact that I have been on the go and cooking, cleaning, or chasing after kids for the last 15 hours solid other than the occasional sit down and check the computer.

I left DH with the kids and visited the baby in the hospital for a bit this evening to bring the mother something to eat for dinner. It was hard to see the baby gasping and struggling for breaths. And they said she was doing really well while I was there because she was asleep. Not sure how this mother copes. She has three kids. The oldest is 5 and in my DD's class at school. He is fine. The middle one is 2 and has a ton of health problems. The third is a new born and has RSV with some underlying breathing problems.

Thanks for listening to me complain...

My advice would be to let her know who is boss while she is still young. It is much easier to be a little strict when they are little then it is when they are older.

Jina ~ thanks! I know, right? It is hard sometimes not to laugh at her. She knows better than to try that with us, but she still tests the limits sometimes. All I had to do was give her "that look" and she backed right down and said in a quiet voice, "I was just being quiet." Lol She's bold, I'll give her that.

WOW, It looks like I'm following in someone's foot steps here. I'm having mid cycle bleeding. It's definitely more than spotting, but not quite a light flow. ugh!

Mary - I feel you about having a Sassy Pants around the house. Ever since the time change, T has been refusing to go to bed at his normal time (8 pm) which is really frustrating because he was great about going to bed before and because now that he has been staying up later, he is cranky and tired in the mornings. Last night I told him "You need to go to bed" and he says "YOU need to go to bed" all sassy like. Kids these days! LOL

Chadae - Woohoo, sounds like you had a great appointment! That is great news!

Lisa - How weird that you, me, and Jina have ALL experienced that this month. Maybe too much internet chatting brings on spotting? LOL Anyway, I'm sorry you had to have it too. It's weird and worrying, isn't it?

Bonita - That poor family! I hope that the baby is doing better today. Were you able to rest at all?

AFM - I'm ready to stomp on my OPKs and throw them in the trash. I have some really good fertile CM going, and my temp dropped this morning (which it also did the day before O when I charted in Feb) but the OPKs are STILL negative. Drop kick!!!! I am actually wondering if I am one of those women that just never get a positive OPK for whatever reason. *Sigh* Anyway, I am NOT leaving things up to my OPKs because I don't trust them. I am planning on BDing again tonight if humanly possible (DH was complaining yesterday that he thinks he is coming down with my cold. Noooooo! I was totally unsympathetic too - I was like "I don't even want to hear that. You are NOT getting sick this week." Poor guy - I'm sure he's ready for me to be knocked up too, just so I can stop acting like a psycho.

Mary-Sorry about your van. Brandon has definitely turned into a Mr. Sassy pants as well. They are close in age, I wonder if it's a "4" thing...I would love to go back to the terrible twos...at least then he didn't have an attitude problem Smile

Bonita-What a scary situation. A friend of our family's is dealing with the same thing right now. Her grandson was born eight weeks early and spent almost two months in the NICU. He is three months now and his brother is 11 months (mom thought you couldn't get pg if you were bf) and they both developed RSV. The little one has been in the hospital and has had several episodes where he has stopped breathing. They just released him yesterday but it's been a very scary time for the family. I hope the little girl is ok.

Chadae-Glad you appt. went well. Can't wait to hear how your u/s goes.

Lisa-Sorry about the mid-cycle bleeding. I was just telling Jina on another thread that I had some spotting after O right after my mc. Maybe your body is still trying to sort itself out???

Tamara-How did things go at your u/s today???

Alissa-Sorry about your opks, sometimes they just don't cooperate. Are you using a different brand this time around? Is it possible you missed your surge? I think you have your bases covered either way, but it does suck when all you want to see is that +.

Sorry Lisa! Hope the spotting stops soon.

Alissa - maybe you'll get a +opk later today or tomorrow? I hope those opks are working right. It can be so frustrating waiting on that +opk!

Me rest? I am not sure what that is right now. I was up at 6 getting two kids ready for school, talking with parents, getting another kid to babysit. Then onto having the Deaf two year old and my baby get up. Two 2 year olds, 1 18 month old, and one almost 4 year old. getting everyone dressed, changed, feed... Then doing my coupons and getting everyones car seats in then carting all four kids to Publix to do my grocery shopping. Then home and fed and down for naps. I did sneak in a nap while everyone was sleeping but I still need to finish putting everything away and pick up before everyone gets here including the two five year olds that are at school. Dinner and such. Then getting everyone ready for church tonight. I told DH that I feel like I am working an assembly like with the diapers. Change bottom, next. Change bottom, next. Change bottom. Time to start over. To top it off I think I am starting AF. Killer cramps are starting...

How funny. I would think your DH might like it Smile

Mary, LOL @ "I was just being quiet" I hope the storm isn't too bad over there!

Chadae, snow flurries? That just sounds crazy to me. Snowing in March is unheard of in Texas.

Lisa, I'm sorry about the spotting! That is so strange....I had some pink CM today again. Although, it wasn't red like last time, just pink. Lol@ Alissa's comment about too much internet chatting. I was going to say it must be something in the air...

Alissa, Sorry the OPKs are being a pain. What kind are they? I hate interpreting OPKs too....Ialways get a line. It's never white for me. It's frustrating to see the line pop up and I have to sit and watch to see if it actually gets as dark as the control line. If you have fertile CM I would go ahead and tell your hubby to buck up and get your "donkey kong" on...lol

Lenora, thanks for your input earlier!

Bonita, Sounds like you are having a very busy day....a one woman daycare! I'm glad to hear that the baby is going to be okay.

I decided to stay home from church tonight. After all the kids are asleep I am going to the hospital though to stay with the baby while the mom goes to shower and get something to eat. She has not left the hospital in several days.

I went and sat with the baby tonight while my friend went and took a shower and ate dinner. It was ok while the baby was sleeping, but very stressful once she woke up. She was noticeably worse then, but calmed back down when the mother came back. I was glad I was able to give her a break, but I do feel bad she got so worked up with her mother gone.

The Deaf 2 year old was with her dad while I was at the hospital and he called to say that she had passed out and turned purple. (she does this every couple of weeks). I feel terrible that it happened, but she has been with me almost all of the time for the last 3 days and I am very thankful that it happened when she was with her father and not me. I am getting her back tomorrow, but am slightly more nervous now. As much as I am willing to help, I am really hoping the baby gets better very soon and there family can get back to normal (mine too).

Well the storms weren't that bad this afternoon, thankfully. As for the van -- it still stinks. Ick. If I had the money right now I would so be taking it somewhere for a good interior steam-cleaning. Guess I'll do the best I can cleaning it myself and using some Febreeze!

FYI ~ Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me, so I won't be able to post much, if at all, until tomorrow night. Try not to miss me too much Biggrin

Bonita, I think it's really nice of you to help out like you have been. I hope the baby will be able to go home soon and you can get back to normal. That's really scary about the little girl! I would be so freaked out! Poor family, it sounds like they have a lot of health problems!

Mary, Haha! of course we will miss you! I hope you have a good day today! Oh and about the van, maybe you can try Nature's Miracle Just For Cats. I think you can get it at petsmart...or some other pet urine remover. GL!

AFM, Oh gosh, I had a crazy dream last night. I can't remember all the details but I was pregnant and worried about the new job I had just gotten. I was also trying to ride a motorcycle down a hill and couldn't get it started....?! My dreams are getting really vivid and crazy. I hope it's a good sign!

Chadae - Glad your appt. went well! Smile

Mary - Thanks for visiting me at the Nov 11 board! Smile

Alissa - Sorry the OPK's are not cooperating! Hopefully, you caught the egg anyways?

AFM - I posted an update to my U/S yesterday in the Nov 11 board and forgot to come update this thread! I have been so exhausted lately. And a nervous wreck!

Here is the full update http://www.pregnancy.org/bulletinboards/showthread.php?t=656887

Long story short, I did not get a transvaginal. Never asked the doc why not. I should of...but he was happy with the transabdominal and just seeing the gest sac and yolk sac. I'm waiting for him to call me with my hcg numbers. I'm concerned that the sac has not grow in 4 days ( I had a quick vaginal scan at 5 weeks at the OB's office last Friday where the sac was measured at 5w1d). The sac still measured 5w1d and I was
5w5d yesterday.

So...I guess it's wait and see, right?

Tamara, Yay for a yolk sac! That is an excellent sign, I'm sure you will see a fetal pole and a heartbeat next week! I wouldn't worry about the size of the gest sac, especially since you can't really compare a transvaginal u/s to an abdominal u/s. I know it's impossible not to worry but try to enjoy the positive news you received yesterday! :bigarmhug:
