    How was everyone's Christmas?

Ours was good, Hannah loved all her presents, and was thrilled with her big gift, which was a Radio Flyer scooter. When I have time, I'll upload some pics. I started feeling better just in time to make it to one of my niece's birthday parties, then to a Christmas Eve party with my brother and his kids, and on Christmas day I was able to go see my dad at the ALH. It wasn't one of his better days, but it was good to see him.

Those of you here who are charters,
can you help me with something? I'm starting weekly meetings on the Charting Board as a way to get that board going (it's been sooo slow lately), so click on the link in my siggy to get there. The first week's discussion question is about pinpointing ovulation. I'd really appreciate your help to get the board going and I think it will be a lot of fun! I'll try to come up with a good discussion question each week. If anyone wants to contribute ideas for questions, PM me. I'd love ideas!

As for THIS board, I'm thinking of doing a Question of the Week.

Holly yay for Camerons tubes and your contacts. I hope you enjoy the rest of your winter break.

Mary I guess mine are more goals or areas to work on instead of resolutions. My list so far is:

Continue healthier eating and support DHs weight loss by cooking more and menu planning as much as he will allow
Exercise at least 3 times/wk of some sort
Work less (i'm a workaholic and I need to be more focused and delegate more)
Spend more time doing 'together things' with DH and say yes sometimes even when I don't feel like doing something or its not my favorite thing to do
Save money, stick to a budget
Love myself and know its okay to be imperfect

    .... Thats my list...

Danielle - those are great goals! I like the last one about loving yourself more and knowing it's okay to be imperfect, I tend to be a perfectionist myself and have to remind myself it's okay if I'm not superwoman, LOL.

Our couch just broke on one end! EEK. DH was leaning back on the arm with a pillow and THUMP! The whole arm fell down. It's a bamboo frame, so it doesn't surprise me. Thankfully, we got it for free from a friend of ours who in an upholsterer. We'll have to spend money now, though, to buy a new one. In the meantime, DH is going to try and do something for a temporary fix.

Hi Everyone! I hope that everyone had very happy holidays! I did, although to be honest I'm a freaking thundercloud today and don't feel like talking about anything so jolly as my holidays! LOL. Okay, maybe if I talk about them, it will cheer me up. My parents got me a gift card to Ikea, and Jon's parents have promised us a "shopping spree" at Ikea (can you tell that I'm obsessed with Ikea right now? They just put one in this fall, and I'm freaking in love with it. But anyhoo. So I have lots of Ikea shopping in my near future. Jon made me a beautiful "painting" out of melted crayons (it sounds weird, but it's actually really really cool) and T gave me a couple of plastic bead necklaces which I thought was adorable. Okay, yes, I do feel a little better after remembering how much everyone loves me. LOL

The reason why I am in a funk today is twofold. First of all, I have been aggravated with DH since last night. It's nothing major, we were just snipping at each other last night until I decided that I was done, announced that I was done, and refused to talk to him for the rest of the night (I'm very mature.) Then this morning I asked him to drive T to daycare (DH is working on home improvement projects this week, and we have to pay our daycare lady regardless, so we may as well use it so he can get some work done since I am back at work) and he was sleepy and totally grouchy, and I got aggravated again, flounced out, and took T myself. It just makes me mad because I'm like "really dude? I have to go to work, and you have the whole day off, and you can't even let your kid sleep in a little, get him dressed, and drive 10 minutes to drop him off? Really???? That's too much to ask?" UGH. I love him dearly, but he can be such a PITA sometimes.

The second (more important reason) why I'm a grouch is that I missed a call from the specialist's office, and they are ready to set up an appointment, but they are currently booked up until mid-February. I called the lady back but got her voicemail, and then I called my hematologist back to see if they could get me set up with someone else, but they said that she really is the one that I need to see. So now I'm waiting for her appointment booker to call me back so that I can try to wheedle an earlier appointment out of her (although at the moment I'm so aggravated with DH that I wouldn't let him touch me with a 10 foot pole anyway. LMAO)

Jina - I am so sorry to hear that they think it's possible that you have both a clotting disorder AND a bleeding disorder. I'm with you, sister, I don't even understand how that is possible and they don't cancel each other out. I hope that you get better news from your re-test. Please KUP.

Mary - Oh my gosh about the couch!!!! That sucks that you have to spend money, but at least it should be fun picking out a new couch, right?

Bonita - That is GREAT news about your cousin's wife. I was so glad to read it!

Danielle - Those are great goals. I think that my resolution is to try to simplify my life. I'm always so busy and stressed. I think I want to try to focus on the priorities (family, health) and accept that I can't do everything all at once.

Sorry if I missed anyone - my computer is acting strangely and I think I may have to reboot, but I don't want to lose what I have already written!

Alissa - DH's can be a pain sometimes, can't they? Ugh. Good thing we love them Sorry you missed the call from the specialist's office. Oh, and sounds like you got some cool gifts!

I got a new computer monitor, new blender (a really good one! Yes.), and some slipper socks, all from DH. From my brother I got a $25 gift card to Olive Garden, and from my stepmom/dad got money.

We put the $25 gift card to good use today and went to lunch at the Olive Garden. DH is on vacation this week, and since H is off from school, we're "all" on vacation, but we're staying in town. After the OG, we went to a movie, which was The Adventures of Tin Tin. The first one was sold out, so we got tickets for the later one, then went to the mall to hang out in the meantime. The movie was... uhhh... a little too action/adventure for my taste, too much sword fighting/shooting/explosions. I should have known if DH picked the movie, it would be like that, lol Oh well, at least the popcorn and Coke was good

Then for dinner we picked up a Domino's pizza to take home. Who says you can't have a good time on vacation when you stay in town? Another day this week we're going bowling. It will be H's first time going since she was a toddler, so it should be interesting.

Oh forgot to mention, from a friend I got a really cool gift: a casserole dish with a lid and a carrier with a hot/cool pack so you can keep the food hot/cold when taking it to a potluck or something.

Danielle, I'm not doing a trigger. I already ovulate on my own so I guess my RE wants me to take Clomid to increase the number of eggs I release so I'll have a better chance at catching a "good" egg. My side effects weren't too bad this time....the only annoying symptom I'm still having is frequent urination!

How did the IUI go?! Oh my gosh, I can't believe you go in for a beta in less than 2 weeks! Are you going to test before then?

Holly, I've heard that taking Clomid on CD 3-7 increases the quantity of eggs and CD 5-9 increases the quality of eggs. Who knows, though.....every doctor will tell you something different....lol.

Yay, I'm so glad Cameron's appointment went well and I hope things continue to go well!

Did you finish the Harry Potter movies? I'm really sad that we won't get to see anymore HP movies....though, Harry's 5 o'clock shadow was really creeping me out in the last two movies!

Mary, I'm sorry you were sick but I'm glad you were feeling better by Christmas. It sounds like you had a nice holiday and I'm glad you got to spend some time with your dad.

Ooh, it sounds like you guys had a amazing day yesterday! I'm glad you guys are having a lot of fun on your "staycation"!

Alissa, Yay for having an awesome Christmas! I still think it's awesome that you guys gave each other handmade gifts! It sounds like your hubby is pretty creative! Hehe....have fun shopping at Ikea....don't get lost in there!

Ugh! Sorry your DH is being a pain...how frustrating. I hope he's behaving himself today and made up for being a pain yesterday.

Oh no, that really sucks about missing the call from the specialist's office. Did you get a hold of her again? I really hope you can get an earlier appointment than mid-Feb. Can you maybe see a specialist in another city?! I really really hope you can get in sooner! I *hate* it when things are out of my control...you know? I just can't believe that she is the *only* specialist in the entire city.

AFM, I got a call back from the Hematologist's office and the re-test came back normal. I guess the last test was just a lab-error....I hope. I'm still worried but I just don't have the energy to press him about it. I mean....I *know* lab errors *do* happen but it still makes me wonder....you know? Anyway, I guess I'm going to be taking baby aspirin, extra folic acid, vitamin b6 and b12 for the mthfr. Fingers crossed that they do the trick.

Even though I was grouching about it, I had a *wonderful* Christmas! I got to spend it with family and friends. I ate a lot of good food and spent some quality time with my nieces. I got everything I wanted and more. Hubby is really great about surprising me with gifts and this year was no exception! I'm one lucky girl.

I can't believe it's almost 2012. I feel like 2011 was a bust for me. I spent the entire year consumed with TTC, Pregnancy and Miscarriages. I think it's time for a change....don't you? I hope 2012 is the complete opposite. I hope that it's filled with happiness and all things good instead of misery and pain.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a nice day today!

Jina - so glad the re-test came back normal! And I do hope 2012 is filled with lots of happiness for you.

    Bonita - how are you?

    How is everyone else?

Nothing too exciting here today so far. Just lazing around. H is outside with DH right now, in his workshop. I had to deal with wet bed sheets again this morning, when she wets the bed, she doesn't fool around, LOL, so I've had to put TWO mattress covers on and always have to wash the top one. It's been happening almost every day for awhile now, and the funny thing is, she hardly ever wet the bed before, so I don't know why it's happening now. I even limit her fluids close to bedtime, AND, have her go potty one last time before she gets in bed. Not sure what gives. I'm going to look into getting some of those absorbent pads today (that hospitals use), hopefully that will help cut down on having to wash bed sheets every day! I really don't want to buy those absorbent underwear (glorified pull-ups is all they are, really), they are just too expensive.

Mary - Yikes about the couch. I hate when those unexpected things come up as it disrupts my 'grand plan' for whatever was giong on. Luckily my DH is quite handy and fixes things for me. I hope your 'temporary' fix works well.

Alissa - I hope you have come out of your funk. I always have a few really down days around the holidays especially when timed with AF . I hope you were able to wrangle the DH back into line and reach your specialist. I don't get very good cell phone reception at work so I am always missing calls from my RE office. It drives me Batty! I love the focus for next year. This year for me was simplify. I'm glad it was because it has been a CRAZY year for DH and I.

Jina - glad the retest was normal and glad you had a nice Christmas. Interesting Clomid note. I wondered what the difference in timing was since alot of people seem to have different timing. It makes sense for my situation to start later as I produce 3 - 4 follicles on the lowest dose starting on day 5. I wouldn't want any more I have one friend right now who is about 12 weeks with triplets which is daunting!

AFM - Can't believe my countdown has already started. IUI went well with 3 good Lg follies (27, 26 &23), good lining and good count for DH. Looking forward to a nice getaway this weekend to interrupt my 2WW craziness. I'm sure I'll be in full force next week! I'm looking forward to 2012, this year has been so hard. My DH had spintal stenosis surgery in March which interrupted our TTC for a few months and then we had our loss this fall. I am ready for a fresh start and a new perspective. Hope we all have a wonderful '12 and get what our hearts desire most.

    Holly/Bonita - how was Christmas?
