    Default First post m/c AF

So AF FINALLY decided to show enough to count as AF last night. It was the first time I had any kind of a flow in a week so I counted that as CD1 and the rest as spotting. Well the doc kept saying that I had more tissue and clots that still didn't come out after the cytotec so to expect a heavy AF with possibly a lot of clots and/or tissue. He wasn't kidding. Geez! The bleeding overall hasn't really been that bad. I've had worse cramps than I've ever had in my life. I couldn't stand up straight last night and have basically been spending all of my time with a heating pad.

Well, today I decided to do Zumba. I usually do it three times a week anyway, but today I did an especially long and high cardio video. I started hurting after a little almost like something was stuck...a lot of pressure. Ever since then I've been passing a lot of clots and tissue...one of which was so big that I had to pull part of it out. Sorry TMI. I know that's so disgusting and I imagine that's normal since I haven't had a true AF in 5 months but it kind of scared me. I guess I'll wait a week or two after all of this before repeating my hcg again but I'm starting to feel more confident that I'll finally be able to get back to TTC after this. If all of that stuff was still in there no wonder my hcg was still up a little. I didn't even have any clots like that after the d&c...weird...has anyone else had anything like this happen? And again sorry for the TMI but you can't just mention something like this anywhere. Lol.

I had this exact issue for 2 months after my m/c. And it was weird too. A 'normal' light period that seemed to stop for half a day. Then suddenly, blam! Clots like crazy! It really scared me too but I read online that was normal and had a checkup that came back normal also. I wasn't even that far along and still had issues like that. (((hugs))) I'd say it's a good sign your body is clearing out to make room for a new LO. Everything crossed!!!!

I have had this happen too. Once the clot was so big when it came out (I was standing) it just *tmi* sat there between me and the pad feeling so very icky and gooshy until I got to the bathroom. So gross. Post m/c AF for me are alway heavy. I finally got mine too no big clots but very heavy.

I'm glad things are moving along for you. Heavy AF and clots are normal. As long as you're not going through a pad an hour you should be fine. I hope you're feeling better today. Good luck with your next cycle, I hope you get a sticky bfp soon!

Thanks ladies! I'm feeling better now that I'm to CD6. AF has been so weird. I've had the horrible cramps and the clotting but other than that not much flow really. I guess it shouldn't surprise me. I really doubt my lining has had a chance to do much and the doc seemed to think it was more likely that I'd have a lot of clots. Most of the blood I've had has been clots so I guess my doc was right about my body not being quite ready yet. At least I know I'm just that much closer to when I'll have the next stupid AF and we'll finally be able to TTC again. I'm feeling more confident about it all the time and am mostly trying to stay as busy as humanly possible in the meantime.

My job ended last week. I'm a substitute teacher and I normally work in the summers when school is out but this time I decided not to work in the summer. This will be the first time I haven't had a job since I was 16. I've been working on keeping the house clean, doing all the errands, and staying is great physical shape...lots of zumba is involved in that. My parents bought a camper today and we're trying to get a tent so we can camp a lot this summer and do a lot of hiking. I'm trying to make plenty of plans that have nothing to do with babies so that I'm not too invested in it until I really have a reason to be. Just three more weeks to get through before I'm back on Femara and actually actively TTCing.
