Hey gals *Child Pics*

Sorry that I've been so MIA. You know how it goes, just taking a break from the boards. How is everyone doing? I have missed you all a lot.

I am doing pretty well. Hubby and I are "trying" again, which is kind of scary. That's a whole saga I will have to tell you ladies about. Basically, no real answers, I get to decide for myself if I want to do those shots (TWICE daily is what they are saying now) which I'm sure I will do because I'd rather know that I did everything I could. Blah. But other than that, I am doing well. I missed you too, so much!!! This is going to sound weird, but I had a dream 2 nights ago where I came back to PO but everything was different and you weren't on here anymore, and it made me so sad, and that's what got me off my butt to come back! I was stalking a little last night and saw that you are going to be doing IVF! Tell me more about that!

Hehe! I'm just so glad you're back! I know it's scary but I'm glad you are trying again. Biggrin I'm sorry you have no real answers....you'll have to tell me about your saga.

I have to take Lovenox shots as well so I understand the fear of stabbing yourself! Haha....I have to also stab myself for IVF too so I guess I should get real comfortable with needles. Wink

Hubby and I decided to pursue IVF because...well...because we're just tired of this whole process. I just don't want to risk another loss...not that IVF guarantees anything but at least we'll have done everything we possibly can and not leave it up to chance...you know? We're doing PGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) to (hopefully) make sure we don't have a loss due to genetic abnormalities. I'll have to take Lovenox for the blood clotting issue and cross my fingers and hope for the best! Anyway, I have a large cycs that's hanging around so IVF is on hold until the cyst goes away.

Anyway, WELCOME BACK!! I hope hope hope that you get a bfp soon!!! Biggrin

ETA - How are T and DH?

Oh no, you have to do the Lovenox too? And for IVF, eeek! Oh well, it will be worth it. Grrrrr for the cysts. Shaking my fist at them right now. Biggrin

Well, basically I think I told you gals about how last November the doctor told me that my blood tests were a little screwy and sent me to a specialist (who I couldn't get in to see until February - gah!!!) So I went and reviewed everything with the specialist, she agreed that the results were weird and indicated that *something* was going on, but still borderline enough on all of the different tests that she couldn't make a diagnosis. So then she sent me for more tests and....everything came back normal. Everything, even the stuff that I had been tested for before that showed abnormalities. Tested me again....normal.

Which, I guess I'm glad that right now I'm healthy again, but that leaves me with NO answers about what was going on for the past year, why the tests were coming back abnormal from Aug 2011-Nov 2011, did this stuff cause my mcs....or what I should do moving forward. Her warning was that whatever I have, pregnancy could trigger it again, which is why it may make sense to do the Lovenox shots. But that's up to me; she will prescribe them if I want them, but at the moment they aren't sure that they are medically necessary. *eye roll*

Whatever. Like I said, I'm sure I'll end up doing them, simply so that I don't have that feeling that I have myself to blame if I have another loss.

ETA: T and DH are doing well. I cannot believe what a little character T has turned into. He is a little comedian. DH is doing well too; they just told him that he has a job at his school for sure next year which is good. But then, Littleton (the school he taught at last year and he loves loves loves) called him and said that they have an opening for next year and asked him to apply. He has an interview in two weeks for that, and I'm guessing he will probably get it since they asked him to apply for it. So he'll have to decide if he wants to stay at his current school or go back to Littleton.

Oh, speaking of jobs, guess who won an all expenses paid trip to Miami through her work this year? You're (sort of) looking at her! Hubby and I leave in about a week to go have 4 days of fun in the sun, all expenses paid!

ETA: How is M? Still liking his new job?

Wow...that's so crazy! How frustrating....I'm sorry you have no real answers. I can't believe you even have the uber specialist confused. I agree about taking Lovenox as a precaution. That's pretty much what I'm doing. My doctor was a bit confused by me too. So, I have MTHFR, which should cause elevated homocysteine levels, right? Well, mine are LOW. Another test also came back abnormal which made him think I also had a bleeding disorder. He re-ran the test and it came back normal. WTH?! So, he said I could take Lovenox if I wanted to but he doesn't really know if I truly need it or not. *eye roll*. I asked to be on it anyway....I don't want to take any chances. Anyway, I'm glad you're healthy too. Biggrin

Haha! So glad T is doing well. How awesome about your DH's job offers! Do you think he'll take the Littleton job since he really loves it there?

Oh wow!!! How awesome is that?! I hope you have LOTS of fun!!! I've never won a trip before....hehe...I bet it's pretty sweet!!

M is doing well. He's been really busy but what else is new? lol He still loves his job and his business is really taking off so he's a happy camper. Biggrin

I'm going to send you a PM in just a sec!

Alissa it is so good to hear from you. It has been pretty quiet around here without you. We are doing good here.

Bonita, it is so nice to see you too! Glad to hear that you are doing well. Hey, how is your BIL doing (wasn't it your BIL that needed a kidney transplant and your hubby was considering giving one of his?)

Jina - UGH! That sucks that your doctor is confused and can't give you clear answers either. How infuriating is that?!? But I am in your camp. I'd rather *gulp* do the twice daily shots than have another loss and then wonder if I could have prevented it if I had just woman-ed up and done the shots. Oooh, and I have baby fever bad right now. My cousin Shanna just had another baby (that's two under two!) and I was holding her this weekend. ZOMG those little feet!

Haha, yeah, I was psyched to find out I had one that trip. It's at a fancypants resort, too! All of the top performers at my company are going to be there and there is a "black tie" event on Friday night, and then we got to choose from a couple of different activities on Saturday. Hubby and I are doing an Everglades boat tour. I'm looking forward to getting away, just the two of us. Too bad it's going to be the entirely WRONG time of the month - would be a perfect setting for some baby making. *Hubba hubba*

I'm glad that M is doing well and liking his job. He does like to keep busy, doesn't he? Smile

Oh wow! Two under two, huh? Biggrin I bet seeing and holding your little niece was really awesome...I can't remember the last time I held a newborn! ~sigh~ They feel so good...lol.

Oooh...sounds like a blast! The everglades boat tour sounds really cool! I've always wanted to go to Miami....why don't you take me instead of your DH? lol

Hehe....yeah...too bad about the timing but it's a perfect setting to get lots of practice! Wink

Haha, I almost had an extra ticket! DH was worried that Littleton was going to ask him to come in and interview on one of the days that we are going to be out of town. I was MAD when he told me that was a possibility (in retrospect, I could have been a little less of a brat about a hypothetical situation...lol) Luckily his interview got scheduled for the Monday after we get back.

The transplant is scheduled for June 18. He is doing ok on dialysis right now.

Weird double post. Yes, DH is donating his kidney. I try not to think about how close it is getting.

I'm glad you're doing well. I hope the TTC stuff goes quickly and smoothly! That is so strange about the abnormal tests becoming normal... I'm going to be seriously stalking you around the boards now Wink

I'm doing well too actually. Work is great, I'm still running, and I have finally reached the light at the end of the TTC tunnel! LOL

I miss you over on the BLC board. Are you still running?

Haha, yes, I will definitely go back to the chat thread.

Shauna - PMing you, but no, I am not running. It was making my knees and hips ache too much, so now I do the elliptical instead because it's lower impact. I'm still pretty proud of myself though - yesterday the machine said that I did the equivilant of 6 miles (took me an hour and five minutes...lol)

Bonita - I understand. It must be scary to think about your hubby having surgery like that. ((Hugs))
