I just wanted to say hello. My husband and I just started trying again this month (this week to be precise!). We lost our baby girl last summer. She was stillborn at 5 months. She had Turner Syndrome and along with it, a large cystic hygroma, hydrops, and heart defect. I think the most challenging thing about getting pregnant again is trying not to worry too much. Now I know what can go wrong. I'm also worried about being able to get pregnant again. I feel like I waited too long. (I'm 34, but they say 35 is a critical threshold.) I learned that I have a large fibroid on top of everything else. Aside from all of the negatives, I am looking forward to being pregnant again - and especially having a baby after waiting for so long. Hopefully, everything will go our way this time.
Welcome! Sorry for your loss though.![]()
Thank you.![]()

So sorry for your loss and that you have found your way here. My loss was of a different nature, but i have the same fears of problems with any future pregnancies (I am 36). However, my logical mind tells me that overwhelmingly the chances of any problems are very slim. I am sure it is difficult after your loss......I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a healthy baby in the near future.
Welcome here, everyone is great! So sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss and everything it has/will put you through. Welcome to the board, I hope you can find comfort in sharing your struggles/fears here and gaining support and encouragement

Welcome to the board. I am truly sorry for your loss. The worry and fears are quite normal after a loss unfortunately. I hope you are able to get pg again soon.
i am so glad i found your post. i am currently going through this same loss. we have been told the same things - heart abnormalities, turner's, more defects. we meet with the genetic counselor on tuesday. i could use some advice. how did you cope with carrying the baby knowing what was coming? why did you chose to not terminate the pg (sorry to be so forward, i don't mean to be insensitive)?
lots of love to you!
