Have you tried asking your DH about considering treatment? Maybe he'll surprise you.

I've had two m/c in that 12 months, which isn't as many as some, but I don't know if I can continue this journey. I keep saying the age gap between #2 and #3 is getting too big and I need to stop, then I try one more cycle. Then I'm devastated when it doesn't work. Fertility treatment isn't really an option. I know DH will say if we need treatment then it is a sign we need to stop trying for #3. It will take 3-6 months to get back in for surgery for the endo, and that's after the 2 u/s minimum 3 weeks apart. Then the waiting time after surgery. We would be looking at up to 8-9 months. By which time my elder two will be 7 and 5 when bub3 arrived IF we got pregnant straight away. I wouldn't have 4 children do that means #3 would basically be an only child.

I just don't know. I want that baby so bad but maybe it's not mine to have.
    I can completely relate!
We wanted 3 or 4 children, close together. Losing our DD, we ended up with a 5 year age gap between DS #1 and DS #2. I had hoped we had corrected the issue, and that DS#2 would get a sibling close in age to him, but as time goes on, it's starting to get to big too big a gap and I just wish that I got to decide for myself when I was finished having children

Virginia that sucks!! I'm sorry I really hoped this was it for you. Maybe the lighter period was just a fluke this time? IDK mine have been light ever since losing Noah but my MW insists that they are normal, whatever that may be lol, and likely to fluctuate month to month, etc.

Shadow I hope that you get pg again soon with a sticky bean! I have had the same thought too that maybe another baby just isn't in my future no matter how much I want it. But I'm not ready to stop trying yet. As for treatment Clomid is super inexpensive and usually needs little monitoring but b/w on cd 21. It can also have the side effect of thinning your lining which may be a good thing for you. I'd ask about it at least.

Audrey our youngest are about the same age and though I wanted them closer if it I get pg soon I don't think the age gap will be too bad. 2.5 years or so I've done that before. Here's to hoping we both get babies soon!

AFM I still haven't m/c. I'm bleeding brown (tmi sorry) but not bright red and having cramping a lot but that's it. To complicate things I'm RH- so when I have active bleeding (red) I have to go in for a blood draw within 24 hrs then go back an hr or so later for my rhogam exactly what I want to do. I saw my MW again Monday she did a pg test and I'm still turning tests positive by n surprise there. I asked her if we could do anything besides a d&c to move things along and she said possibly cytotec. If u don't know cytotec dialates your cervix and causes it to cramp which will hopefully take care of things. It's 70-90% effective and I can take it at home. If that fails then its a d&c. I Will call for th? cytotec Monday if nothing happens over the weekend.

Tiffany - have you taken Cytotec before?
My SIL did for a missed miscarriage and said she would never do it again, she ended up in the ER.

I was prescribed it once before having a laproscopic procedure, but I refused to take it because the warnings were that it could cause birth defects and TTC would have to be put on hold for 3 months or so after taking it (and I was not willing to take the risk, or wait any longer)

When I was offered cytotec the MW said it would be fine to TTC again right after. I know there's another drug which can cause birth defects if you don't wait. I'd double check on that with your MW, Tiffany. I ended up declining it for other reasons.
    Good luck, Tiffany.

Audrey and Virginia yes I've had it twice before once to start labor and then with my last m/c in which I was 14 wks so I had to deliver him at the hospital. When I was in labor and had it to dilate me I had no issues at all with it, it dilated me a little bit and caused some mild cramping/contractions but I didn't need pain meds. Audrey IDK if you've ever m/c naturally or if your SIL had but it can be quite painful on its own (contraction painful at least mine was anyway) and you can have to go to the ER for excessive bleeding, etc (I didnt but I bled a ton). I was told it wouldn't be much worse than doing it on my own and I should be fine at home and I hope that's true. I had an epidural in April when I had to deliver Noah my last loss so I felt nothing but was told I could ttc after one month off with no risk of birth defects. I was also told I could ttc again right away this time as well which is what I wanted with a d&c I would have to wait longer. And no risk of any birth defects was mentioned this time either. I will double check it with her again Monday to be sure though. But she knows I want to ttc right away and that's why she suggested trying this before a d&c.

It's funny the differences between countries and regulations I guess. I am in Canada, and was told taking the drug I would have to wait longer to be sure. My sister in law had a d&c with her first m/c and then opted for the drugs for her second, and only had bad things to say.

I have m/c's 3 x naturally, and had 2 d&c's (for missed miscarriages) - and I was only ever told to wait until my cycle returned to ttc, and that even then it was really only because it makes it easier for them to date the pregnancy should you get pregnant right away.

How long did they tell you to wait if you had a d&c?

I was told I could TTC after the d&c as soon as I got AF by the OB/Gyn who did the procedure. My MWs' recommendations varied from 2-4 months of waiting.

AFM: I called my MW. She said not to worry about the lighter AF (just like yours, Tiffany). I'm still skeptical, but it sounds like the plan is to keep trying. One of the following will happen
    1. I get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy (please!)
    2. I get pregnant and m/c again. Then I get a bunch of bloodwork done. If it's normal they'll refer me to a RE.
    3. I fail to get pregnant this whole year, at which point I'll qualify as infertile and they'll probably do all the bloodwork, etc.
well... or I guess 4. I get fed up and make an appointment with the specialist on my own.

Audrey it is odd the difference between countries. I've always been told to wait 3 months to ttc after a d&c and not to even have sex for 4-6 weeks. And that's if everything went well. They are worried about your lining rebuilding before you ttc again though I've read that that is overkill and most times it only takes one month. I want put back on clomid b/c they made me ttc on my own for 6 mos after losing Noah before starting clomid and on the 2nd round of clomid I conceived so I don't think I was Oing sufficiently on my own. So even if I wanted to buck the system and try sooner I'd have to wait for the clomid w/ a d&c. If you don't mind my asking (ignore me if you do) what exactly went wrong with your sis? I'm curious bc my m/c have been painful and bad on their own though I've talked to others who had an easier time than me.

It looks like I might not need the cytotec after all. I started bleeding bright red this afternoon and am bleeding a lot and passed a few clots. I'm in a fair amount of pain as well. Trying to take care of it w/ ibuprofen and a heating pad. I called the office for a pain med like my MW said but she was off today and the OB was delivering and they were about to close. So I have to go to the ER if I want it and I don't want to do that. I'm just gonna ride it out. Hopefully this takes care of it all and I can start fresh. I'm also gonna wait for the rhogam til Monday I don't think the baby ever even got big enough to trade blood with me anyway and the ER is my only option for that too.

I hope this is it Tiffany and you don't have to decide between drugs and d&c (that sounds bad, but you kwim, right?)

Not sure of all the specifics with my SIL, just that she was losing a lot of blood very suddenly, like beyond that soaking a pad an hour kind of thing. Like from nothing to none stop gushing. My SIL was pretty quiet about it. No one in the family even knew about it, but when I had my 1st m/c she told me.
