Thread: MC Mentioned/ Conceive Postpartum

I gave birth to a stillborn May 28, 2011. I was instructed by my OBGYN to wait 4 wks for intercourse, though I'm not having intercourse my husband pre-*** around my vaginal area 3wks into postpartum and very nervous about this situation to become pregnant again so soon BC my son had Neural Tube Defect. Has anyone had this happen to them? Or have advice about what to do next?

Hi there, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain for having a stillborn. I think the chances of being pregnant are very, very slim. I wouldn't stress about it since you guys did not have intercourse. If you are truly worried, you could always call your doctor and tell him/her about your concerns.

I agree. I doubt you could be pg, but you could talk to your doctor to be sure.

I agree with the other ladies, the chance of you being pg again is very slim. I would talk to you doctor about it though and come up with a plan for moving forward.
