PG Ment ***Re-Re-Update***

OMG, I never thought I'd get to post that! Remember I tested on Sunday and it was negative? I looked again at that test much later in the day and there was the faintest shadow of a line. I did NOT believe it.

However, since today is Wed and STILL no period (due last Thursday) I reasoned that I'd go ahead and check today, because if by some miniscule chance the test was positive I would want to get beta Hcg's drawn today and Friday. There are a few perks to being high risk w multiple losses and one is they give you what you want. LOL

I took the test (FRER) after my shower this morning and didn't look for 4 minutes. I was convinced that it would be negative and my body was just f'ing around with me again (pardon the expression). When I saw that perfect 2nd line, I burst into tears.

I have orders for blood work today and Friday, and an U/s and appt with high risk doc on the 20th. They wanted the 13th, but that's barely 6 weeks - and this might be a late implant, so I changed the date.

It's going to be a rollercoaster until then! None of my pregnancies lived past 7 weeks....

EDITED TO ADD:
1st Beta =1340
2nd Beta= 50 hrs later = 2943. Doubling in just over 45 hours, with an initial already >1200. I've found a couple sources that say once over 1200 that doubling time slows. Whoops!
*thud*

And here I was worrying because I wasn't having nausea today. Silly me.

NEXT TO LATEST UPDATE:
Spotted light pink briefly on Tues, again on Wed. Have been home since then. Brief red don Thurs followed by regular spots of brown blood. Symptoms decreasing daily. I figure this one is gone. Called docs on Wed, haven't bothered to call again. What's the point? I've done this dance before and have no desire to see another "nothing" ultrasound.

I probably should call them, but I'm not in the mood to be a good patient. I'm tired of this rollercoaster. Jina, how the he// have you done this so often and been further along that this every time?

FINAL UPDATE FOR THIS THREAD:

Houston we have a heartbeat! Rate 135, size consistent with 7 week 2 days from last period. OMG. *thud*

Aw, you gals are the best! I knew if anyone could understand this rollercoaster it would be y'all!

So, update. I've been obsessively checking calendars and depending if you go by LMP or when I think I O'd, I'm either 4 w 3d, or 4w 6d. My beta today was 1,370! (I had to add the comma so it would look even bigger... Smile )

Will recheck it on Friday.

Had the sinus headache from hell today, and the girls have been strapped up tight in a sports bra. It makes the day liveable, but when the bra comes off - oh. my. stars... I think I'm seeing stars for a few minutes. OUCH!

Thanks everyone! So far so good. I'll feel much better after the ultrasound on the 20th, assuming nothing happens between now and then.

Oh Carole, I am so heartbroken. Sad

I am so very sorry you are having to go through this again. It's. just. not. eff-ing. fair.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go get an u/s but I think you should go in for one anyway. It is possible to have a normal pregnancy even with spotting and bleeding. Carole, you have no idea how much I'm hurting for you right now. This just sucks and I wish I could give you a huge hug.

Please know that we are all here for you and you don't have to go through this alone.

:bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

My heart is breaking for you right now.

:bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

I agree with Jina that you should go get an ultrasound, if nothing else to get some closure by knowing for sure one way or another.

You are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I will say I have spotted, bleed with all of my pg's even my girls. Unless you are bleeding enough to soak a pad, I would not assume it is over. Hard I know.

I'm so sorry. This just happened to us for the first time and it's heartbreaking....much less multiple times! We were in the ER confirming the loss and everybody just tried to be so positive even though I know that 5weeks pg with an hcg of 32 isn't good. I would rather know though so maybe getting the u/s is best. I too had spotting with my two and my m/c was totally different.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. I totally understand how you feel about seeing a bad u/s. My only pep talk is that both my normal pregnancies had significant but different bleeding while my loss had nothing until after I'd seen the u/s.

Oh I hope everything is ok. I know several people who bleed through their whole pregnancies. I hope you can see the dr and you do go in for that U.S. I know it will be hard but it is possible everything is ok though. Hugs.

Sorry not to mention you each individually, but I'm posting from my phone. No spotting for about 36 hours, it was never heavy and only bright red 2 very small times.. no idea what's going on in there bit I feel very bloated physically and emotionally I'm all over. Poor DH can't tgake the ride & is convinced it's gone until proven otherwise. I don't blame him.

Oh Carole, I am so happy the spotting is gone. I just knew it did not sound like you were miscarrying from what you had posted. What an unbelievable roller coaster ride it is being pg after a loss.

Alyssa, it was like a bad dream. It was the exact time frame that I lost my last pg, and similar to how I lost my first, so when I continued to have the abdominal soreness combined with the blood and then the NP told me to let them know if I saw bright red, and the next day I did, I figured it was just a matter of time.

Those days that I was spotting, I definitely found that if I was on my feet for more than a couple of hours, or did any type of exertion, it would set it off again. I don't know if it made a difference but I'm so glad I spent those days at home doing not much more than resting and drinking (and not what I WANTED to drink, since I wasn't sure yet!).

Now...we wait until next Tuesday, if I can survive the bloat and my poor DH can survive my incredibly deadly gas. Who knew pg could make one so aromatic?

Fingers crossed. I know how devestated I felt when I saw blood when I was pregnant after my m/c. I also found the bleeding got heavier the more active was so take it easy Smile I was fine being on my feet at work but walking for more than 20 minutes was my trigger point for heavier bleeding.

So nothing at all all week...I guess the ultrasound on Tuesday is still on. Hopefully 7 wk 5 days by then. Except for the persistently sore breasts, I really don't feel pregnant. Weird. I have noticed that I don't do well leaning over trying to find stuff (as in looking under beds, etc) but don't know if that's a pg thing or a sinus thing.

If it's any consolation, Carole, I believe it was around 7 wks when I was pg with my DD that my symptoms lessened and I was so worried that I went and bought another pg test. It was such a relief to see that super dark line (back then I had only taken ONE pg test the day AF was due, imagine that, lol).

Hoping the u/s goes just fine on Tues. In the meantime, promise me you'll rest as much as possible and take it one day at a time, 'k? *Hugs*

Alyssa, just getting to the ultrasound tomorrow feels like a milestone. I'll be so much happier if all goes well tomorrow and we get through the next few weeks. DH is still worried about our risk of chromosomal issues etc, but I figure it's out of my hands at this point. All I can do is the best I can.
