I have all of these questions since I've never been through this before and I have no idea where to post them so I figure here is the best place. We're very impatiently waiting to TTC again since my stupid hcg STILL isn't down to where it should be. I guess it could be but I don't get my blood work until Monday so I won't know until then. It was 69 this past Monday so I'm hoping it's back down now. However, I'm STILL bleeding. It hasn't been heavy at all this whole time, but it's been a month since the m/c and I can't believe I'm still bleeding, especially since I had a d&c. Is this normal?
I mean we know I had retained tissue so I suppose it's normal to bleed some. I had almost completely stopped bleeding after passing a few clots with the cytotec and then started having another little gush last night and passed two clots this afternoon which were a decent size. I hope that was the last of it. I am so tired of bleeding. I feel like as long as I'm bleeding there's no chance of O'ing or AF coming any time soon which means every day that I bleed I'm that much further away from being able to try again.
Isn't it true that your cycle can't restart or whatever until your hcg has returned to zero or below 5? My understand is that it has to be back down and then once it is I can expect AF in roughly 4 weeks. Is that right?
I'm still toying with the whole BCP thing. Part of me wants to take it for the guaranteed AF at the end of it and I doubt it would mess me up since I O'd some after come off of it after being on it for a long time. I just don't know though. The doc told me 2 weeks ago to expect AF in 2-4 weeks but that was before we knew I had some retained tissue. So I figured that time frame was out the door as soon as we discovered the retained tissue and the need for cytotec. Does anyone know anything about this? Googling it is just making my head hurt.
