Where we are today.
Wow! Has it been that long?
Well, We did that cycle without injectables and did not get pregnant. The very next cycle started at Christmas. We proceeded to do the gonal-f and IUI on January 3rd. In that cycle I became pregnant with fraternal quintuplets! I was amazed and shocked by it all.
After a very eventful pregnancy my sons were born at 27 weeks gestation on July 3rd 2005.
Baby A - Lukas weighed in at 1 pound 14 ounces
Baby B - Samuel weighed in at 1 pound 15 ounces (deceased - stillborn)
Baby C - Noah weighed in at 2 pounds 3 ounces
Baby D - Patrick weighed in at 1 pound 6 ounces (deceased - stillborn)
Baby E - Peter weighed in at 1 pound (deceased - stillborn)
Lukas and Noah are now 3 years old! Patrick and Samuel died between 4-6 to 24 hours before birth. Peter died 1 week before birth. I was very ill. I had HELLP and pre-e. My kidneys failed, low platelets, mag level was a 17... I almost died. Thankfully I had a smart nurse who realized that I just didn't look right and she decided to get my mag levels checked and my platelets...Patti saved my life and the lives of my two sons. I can't help but think that if she had been on duty before she would have checked and we might have 4 living sons today.
When the boys were 13 months old I very unexpectedly became pregnant on my own with my daughter! She was such a wonderful surprise! Evangeline "Evey" is 15 months old now.
We are making sure that for a while that she is the last surprise...until we are ready for more. If we ever get to that point, I don't know. But I like having the option of having more possibly if we want to.
