    Default Ready for first child

    Hello everyone,

Just trying this out for the first time. I decided I would give this a try and see how it works. I will post more later... good luck to all and sending baby dust!

    Default Not this month....

Well, AF started... and I'm not that bummed out. This has only been our first month trying. DH went for semen analysis a couple weeks ago- said there should be more in a few weeks. He recently underwent a vasectomy reversal... so we are praying it works.

If we get pregnant my next cycle, then the baby would be due around my b'day!

    Default More about me...

So, now that I have alittle time let me properly introduce myself. I'm 25 years old, full-time student and military spouse. I just moved to the northeast... and apparently we have long winters so I'm bound to become pregnant eh?

My hubby and I have been married 2 1/2 years. He has two daughters from a previous marriage who I have mommied all along. I admit, this has been hard for me... trying to force that bond is sometimes harder than it looks. My DH is wonderful... wants this pregnancy very bad. I recently swore off chicken and right there he thought I was pregnant.

I have a pretty good support group. I have no relationship with my mother, a poor relationship with my stepmother and MIL. I'm a pretty tough woman, I've been through a lot... I know I can get through this, with a little help.

So, there I am in a nutshell. I hope I continue to keep up with my journal as this is good therapy "me" time!

I have been reading everyones journals on here and its been very humbling. I really feel bad for some of you - wish I had the majic stuff to help you all out.
Hubby came to me tonight while I was cooking dinner. He had a little twinkle in his eye and said he just saw the cutest commerical about a couple getting ready to become parents for the first time. So cute! Sometimes he's more excited than I am! It helps out a lot... but we had trouble in the beginning (okay, that was like a month ago) also that we needed to clear our heads and have fun instead of trying to make a new olympic sport. Apparently thats a pretty common problem... (Tell me this smiley isn't farting!)
Today was one of those days I should have just gone back to bed. Someone forgot to tell me the dog has been out of dog food for 2 days, in the process of going to get some I came SUPER close to a speeding ticket... burnt my hand in the oven, slipped on the lineolium floor... couple more hours til bedtime so I'm sure something else will happen.

I'm kind of mad!! Apparently, I thought I ovulated at the wrong time! By the time I really did ovulate, we weren't BDing at all because DH had to go get a S/A. That sucks! I hate all these math calculations. I guess we won't count this past cycle as a "try"... but practice.

    Okie dokie!

    Okay, I have no life.

AdrienneG, I just read your post and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I wish I could give you a BIG hug and try to help you feel better. Its no denying that you have come across some huge obstacles thus far... and I wish you the best and I'm pretty new here but I'm here for you if you wanna talk. Just PM me. Regardless of what your dr. made you sign, if you feel you need to take action than do so. Make sure you take care of yourself and have enough energy to make yourself well enough! As for the doctor, him.

Cazzoom- good luck to you! I'm keeping my fingers/legs crossed!

Af is still tapering off... one thing I have noticed (Warning: tmi!!) is that is an awful lot of brown before and after. This has never happened to me before... and I was about four days late. I had a pap in February... and I'm wondering if I should go back to make sure my yenyang is up to par.

This time next week we will be doing the pickle tickle like wild rabbits during mating season . Hubby approached me about the days he needs to prepare for... isn't that nice?

Funny story... One of our first bd'ing experiences when we thought it would actually take I decided I would elevate my hips to keep the goods in place for 30 minutes afterwards. The weather was hot, humid and we had no a/c so we were both burning up in more ways than one. So, we just finished, hubby rolled off, my *** is proped up on a pillow in the air, and I know I can't move for half an hour, so I'm basically STUCK. Hubby turns to me and says, "I think I'm going to go get some sherbert!" and pecks my sweaty forehead, then proceeds downstairs! This was so humorous to me because its the women who really deal with their asses in the air and the men can relax and ....... have a bowl of sherbert in 100 degree weather!!!

Well, this time next week we should be pretty close to O'day so I am just keeping my fingers crossed. This is only our second month... but technically first because last month we missed our "primetime" by a long shot. After we are done acting like wild rabbits, DH is going to get another S/A done. I just hope it happens soon! I think the stats are 50% of couples conceive the first three months they are trying... but for some reason- I just feel this is going to be issue. I'm trying to think positive... but I think I've been addicted to this site sooooooooooo much that I'm scaring myself into infertility.

On the 14th I am going in to have another "oh please take a mascara wand and slice me all up" exam! I have a feeling something is wrong... some sort of infection. My AF was very brownish... maybe cause I was late? Who knows. The appointment lady was VERY RUDE and I was about to reach through the phone and b*tch slap her all the way to her lunch break. I hung up on her and called back and thankfully I got someone else. The first lady did not know what a "preconception" visit was. She kept asking me when I was DUE and when my last period was. AHAH!

Think positive.... think positive..... think positive!

Just out of curiosity... do you ladies feel better with a male obgyn or female? If you have a male, do you feel he is just as good with paying attention to details or not? Just curious. I'm getting ready to meet with my PCM for the first time since we moved... and I just want to make sure I get the best I can get. Any thoughts? You can PM me.

It has been HARD for me to get motivated today. I'm so depressed, about the whole Katrina thing. We have family down there. It made things worse when I can't get away from the tv and I'm completely engulfed in the news and whats going on. Sometimes I just wish I was in a position to pick up and help wherever I am needed... I've also been glued to the tv regarding the Sabine Beiber case (allegedly overdosed a child at her daycare which led to his death.) Still waiting on a verdict... I'm anxiously waiting on that.

In two days we will start bding to hit my ovulation day. Maybe this time I will actually make it! :P Thinking happy thoughts for me and you!
