TTC #2 & Using Gender Selection

My name is Ivy, DH is Brad and DS is Calvin. DH & I are TTC # 2 since June 2005. We're using gender selection bu only the at-home methods...No fancy, expensive stuff. We're just trying to tip the scales in favor of a girl. I haven't seen another TTC journal using gender selection, so I figured maybe I could help someone else who's interested in the same thing. We're trying for a girl, and I am taking 6 cranberry pills at 1680mg each per day, also eating alot of dairy. We're also DTD 2 days before ovulation, missionary position Smile hehe

Right now I'm on CD 4, waiting for AF to end so we can get this show on the road!

Well, AF is showing signs of stopping soon! YAY! I was talking to DH today adn he thinks maybe we oughtta wait a month or two Sad We'll probably be moving soon, thats why. He also wants me to get a job as soon as we move...I don't wanna wait though. I am just gonna lay off of him until it's the right time to BD then I will force him to LOL

I'm gonna go have my big bowl of ice cream with caramel sauce and whipped cream Smile

Well, DH and I talked and he was just getting cold feet about TTC, but he's all better now! AF is almost gone, so the baby dancing starts tonight! I think this time we will go right up until 1 day before I O, which I think is on CD 8 or 9, not sure yet. I'm also going to use a vinegar douche tomorrow night, ew! Hehe, I want a girl though, I'll do anything!

Well, I broke down and bought a 4 pack of vinegar & water douches! I felt so strange buying them! I bought those and a package of pull-ups, and waited in line to go thru a female checker. When I got to her, she looked at me very strange...Does no one douche anymore? I've always heard women are supposed to do it after AF, but from a very early age my mother told it was evil & gross, LOL. Well, I don't care, I'll do anything to have a girl. I did the douche around 9:30pm and we BD'd at 10. We're going to do the same thing tonight probably, and def. on Saturday night. DS is going to spend this weekend with his dad, and DH is off this Sat. & Sun. I might drag him to see Must Love Dogs and out to dinner. We haven't been able to do that in about a month or so.

This morning, DH's grandpa called him, He has a roofing company and DH used to work for him but hasn't done it in a couple years. He said they had a few big jobs lined up the next couple of weeks, and could he help? uhm--YES! So he's been gone since 7am and probably won't get home until around 4pm...but he's getting paid like $10 an hour. The extra $$ will be nice Smile

I've noticed that my temps are all the same.... always 97.4. I guess it's normal?? We didn't get to BD last night, DH was too tired. We were going to this morning before he went to work, but he kept hitting the snooze button, lol. We have all day Saturday though Smile I'm not sure when I'm going to O...last cycle it was around CD9 or 10. As long as I keep using the vinegar things, we'll be OK. I'm desperate to get pregnant! My mom found a box of my maternity clothes. I only kept the jeans and dresses, I gave the rest to GoodWill. I can't wait to get to wear them again!

I had a dream last night that I POAS and it was positive and I went to Motherhood Maternity and bought the cutest shirt and was wearing it around, and everyone was looking at me and whispering "she's not even showing!" LOL I really wouldn't put it past myself Smile With Cal I started wearing maternity shirts as SOON as I got a belly around 3 1/2 months. Then at 5 months I was back to wearing regular t-shirts most of the time, hehe Smile

Ok, I just watched this movie 'Supersize Me'....I have had people tell me that it would change the way I eat fast food, but I kinda took that with a grain of salt. But I just watched it for the first time...That is scary! I'm a big-time fast food eater and McDonald's is my favorite. I don't know that I'll ever go back now. The guy in the movie gained 9.5 lbs in one week! Imagine if we could LOSE weight like that, LOL. I can really say that I will not eat fast food while I'm pregnant atleast. I regret the amount of it I ate while pregnant with Cal. Every single day, I drove thru McDonald's OR Burger King and had a supersized order of french fries. Since March of 2004 I put on 40lbs. That's awful! But since March of 2004, I have eaten more fast food than I've probably ever eaten in my life. Where I grew up, there was no McDonald's. Only in the past 4 years has it been a part of my monthly diet. Going on a 'diet' now may be pointless, but I am going to start eating healthier. And while I'm pregnant I'm going to eat very healthy! Once the baby's born, I'm going back on Weight Watchers to get back down to the 130lbs I was in March '04. I went on WW for 3 months and dropped nearly 20lbs! I mean, I knew fast food was unhealthy, but, geez. It nearly killed the guy who ate it for 30 days! NO MORE HAPPY MEALS for Calvin, either!

That's my rant for today Smile

Well, I temped this morning and it was 96.9....maybe this means I will O soon! Hubby and I DTD this morning, and we were going to again tonight, but he's currently passed out on the couch, LOL. I may have to use extreme measures to get him up! (no pun intended) We had a nice time today. We dropped Cal off with his dad at 10am, came home and goofed around, DTD, then went to Hastings, the mall, Target...didn't buy much, but had fun Smile We came home and rented a few movies, but he wasn't awake enough to make it thru the first one LOL....If not tonight, we'll get our BD'ing in tomorrow morning Smile

My temp this morning was 97.3, so I still have not O'd. I thought I would O on CD 8 or 9..... I hope I O tomorrow, otherwise all the BDing we did was too early. We would be doing it today, but DH is working (he has 24 hour shifts.) My CM today isn't stretchy but it is clear and watery like... I'm ready to just O already!!

This is one of those days where I want to pull my hair out! Calvin is being just AWFUL!!! He won't listen to me, he won't sit still in time-out, he runs from me into his room and locks his door! WHY do I want another one of them?! I'm honest-to-GOD considering getting a nice job, buying myself a cute little two-door car and an expensive dog!

Okay, I'm done freaking out now Smile My temp only went up one degree today! I still haven't O'd...I'm starting to wonder if I ever will? DH and I really need to be BDing, but I know he feels stressed about it. He came home from his roofing job today and said "I want a baby girl!" LOL He was playing with his new little cousin who is 8 months old. She's all chubby and sweet Smile I can't wait to have a little girl of my own! I want to buy all those adorable jeans with the flowers on them at Old Navy, and all those sweet little dresses! I might have to jump DH later and make him DTD with me! Smile

*sigh* DH was too tired last night to BD... I didn't get to temp this morning because Calvin kept waking up all night, and he woke up right about the time I temp and I didn't know what time it was, so I got outta bed, then I looked at the clock. Oh well. I'll temp tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to O today anyway, my CM isn't EW yet. I usually have O pain, too. Maybe tonight DH will wanna BD. I'm so ready to be pregnant Smile I can't wait to wear maternity clothes again LOL. Although I will probably wear my low cut jeans and little t-shirts until I'm just too huge to wear them. I'm so ready for it all.

Well, DH and I have decided that Calvin is being way too awful to start TTC right now. Every single day is worst than the last, and there's no way I could handle him & a newborn. So right now I'm going to concentrate on losing weight and just being happy, LOL....If we decide to start TTC again, I'll start another journal...
