Default TTC Journal: Krissy and Jared

All right, let's start with the basics. I'm Krissy and I'm 25 years old. My husband's name is Jared and he's 26. I am a second year special education teacher, and Jared is involved in music production with various companies and universities. We got married when I was 17 and Jared was 18. We've known each other since 6th grade, and dated all throughout school. We live in Oak Park, IL, and its great (minus the money hungry town council).

We have talked about having children forever, but we both wanted to be out of college and financially established before we started trying. Since 1998, I have been on and off various birth controls--the pill, the patch, condoms. Most recently I started BCPs (March) and went off them in late December. Right now, we aren't too stressed, and we're having fun with it. My family has a history of being pretty fertile (I have over 25 cousins) so we're just trying to relax and hope.

The way we've worked it is that I'm probably going to ovulate sometime within the next 4 days, and we've been doing the BD since CD 5, and are probably going to continue through the month (we like each other, what can I say? ) CM seems on par for optimal babymaking, so we're just trying to let nature take its course. I haven't been doing BBTs because I can't seem to find the thermometer, and my cycle has always been regular and 28 days long, so my OB-GYN said to just let it happen.

    I'm nervous!

Well, it's 1 DPO, and I'm pretty nervous. This 2 week wait is new to me as I've never tried to conceive before, and I'm hoping so hard that I'm projecting. This morning I thought I was nauseous until I realized it probably wouldn't happen that quickly. I have work to do, but I'm pretty distracted; who knew TTC would make me so flighty? I'm nervous and impatient, but I'm trying to tell myself that this is only our first month, and if I keep going like this, I'm going to be disappointed. Oh well. 13 days until I get to test!

    Default TTC #1: First Try

Okay. It's now 2 or 3 DPO and I've been reading about early pregnancy symptoms to familiarize myself with them and check out if I have any of them. I've had some pretty mild cramping all day (ovulation type-I never had these when I was on the pill, so I recognize them), I'm always tired (except for right now, for some reason), CM is pretty abundant, and the beginnings of tender boobs. The problem with all of that is I'm always tired anyway, and I have the world's smallest bladder, so I pee every 20 seconds as it is. The tenderness is different because that usually doesnt happen until a few days before AF. How can I possibly wait until the 27th to test?! I'm going to go crazy!

3 to 4 DPO. Felt ovulation-like cramps around 7 am, and then again around 11 pm. Nipples are very sensitive. Am also very moody and emotional, crying easily. No nausea or fatigue, just insomnia.

5 or 6 DPO and I'm not sure how I feel. Had some very light cramps around 9 pm last night, CM is no longer EW (kinda creamy now), woke up with a slight headache this morning and yesterday, sensitivity remains exclusively with the nipple, not the areola. Still moody, but no nausea. I am feeling tired, but I think it's due to my sleeping habits. Other than those and being hungry all the time, I feel mostly normal. Crossing my fingers though!

8 DPO and I don't think this is our month. Despite the headaches and hunger, I don't feel any different.
