Thread: What is a implantation dip?

I *think* that an implantation dip is a dip of about .3

I found an explanation about ID on Fertility Friend, but it doesn't say how much the dip is. It just talks about a dip after ovulation and possibly implantation spotting afterwards, here it is:

Normally implantation dips tend to occur on DPO (days past ovulation) 7-10, they can happen anytime from days 5-12 too. Though thought to be a common sign of implantation, they should not be looked as an indicator, as there is no real solid pregnancy indicator other than a positive HPT.

That said, dips in your chart past your ovulation date can also be caused by seconday estrogen surges. These surges can cause dips in your progesterone for a day or two, which can also cause your temp to dip and you may possibly spot. Once this surge ends, your progesterone levels will once again resume and the temp will rise again. Of course, this does not happen to everybody, and certainly not every cycle - it is just one of those things that happen in any given month.

Thank You!!!You all have been so wonderful and I really am pulling for you two. I am praying like crazy that you and parkera will be on the preg board soon. I always look forward to reading your journals every day. I am happy that you can keep TTC. Praying for a BFP on your end. I will let everyone know as soon as I do.
