    Default Aiden's New Room!

DH got home before dinner! WOW! So he helped me with the final details with Aiden's room. Only things missing are a lamp and music player. Those will have to wait till we move him over. Maybe this weekend?

And if you want a good laugh - DITLO us that I posted on my blog.

The room looks great, Jackie! He's such a big boy now! I still think of him as being tiny!

Loved the blog too, made me smile!

I tried commenting on this earlier but right when I hit Post my computer went whacky. His room is great! So nice & clean! Hard to believe he's old enough to be sleeping in a real bed. Loved the DITLO Aiden! It inspired me to have Miles make some pumpkins earlier this afternoon.

I look forward to seeing Zoe's room soon!

Love his room! I really like the airplanes on the wall and the toys under the window. Your DITLO made me laugh. How quickly these days pass!

He's out of the crib? Wow! He's getting so big! I love the planes and his little desk is adorable. Where did you get the toy shelves from? We need something for our office/play room. Off to look at the DITLO post.

ETA: I've got to give Jordan some emptied spice containers! Good idea! She's always taking them out of the drawer and wanting to look at all of them. Maybe that would help with her curiosity, even if they are empty. And I really like your book shelves. Are those the Pinterest idea of using spice shelves?

The toy shelves in his bedroom are just the bigger ClosetMaid 6 cube organizers (Target, Lowes, etc has them). The red bins are from The Dollar Tree. Aiden doesn't do well with the drawers most people use in them.
We converted his crib to a toddler bed early in the summer because he was screaming being in the crib. He adjusted surprisingly well to the change. He does get out of bed to go "read" most nights, but in the end he usually turns his light back out and climbs back into bed when ready. Every now and then he leaves his light on and passes out on the floor.

The book shelves in the play space are cheap IKEA picture ledges.

WEll, last night ended up being Aiden's first night in his new room! Base commander gave most people a pass for today, so figured since DH didn't have to get up early that now was as good of a time as any. DH did have to lay down with him in bed to go to sleep in the end. DH's comment afterwards was "that's a lot more comfortable than us both in the toddler bed." Aiden STTN till 6:30am. At which point DH decided that it was too early to get up (man has no clue when Aiden normally wakes up! lol) and he got up and got Aiden to go back to sleep. They both slept in Aiden's bed till 8:30am. lol

Love his room and I'm so glad he loved sleeping in his new bed. It's almost time to get Matthew's. Michael was in his at 20 months since the crib was needed for Matthew and he just loved it. Hopefully the transition will go well again. I love all of Aiden's airplanes and those shelves! Can't wait to see Zoe's room!

Well, after 5 nights Aiden is doing great adjusting to his new room and big bed! One of us was having to lay down with him till he fell asleep, but last night after 3 tries he finally went to sleep on his own like he was doing in the toddler bed. No crying or screaming, just a toddler knowing that he had to be missing something downstairs and kept creeping out the door. lol

Y'all have no idea how thrilled I am to have planes in just one room (well, there's a few things hanging in the upstairs hallway lol)! We did have the nursery in planes AND the guest room in planes. Just one room now. OH happy days....

I really want to make it out to IKEA but it's over an hour from our house. Yuck. We talked about making a day of it sometime.

It's funny to me that Aiden is in a big bed and Jordan is still in a crib. I am not ready to battle nap time with her in a toddler bed and she actually really likes her bed still. She doesn't know any different. I know our crib days with her are numbered though. I feel like it's getting to be about that time that she should be in a big girl bed.
