What happens? Do they confiscate your card and ban you for life? (kidding)
The kiddos misplaced a book and I cannot find it anywhere. I'm irrirated with myself. Generally I'm so careful about where we put library books. Do they just charge you to replace the book? Is there a fine associated with it?
Thankfully it's just a little board book, and a Christmas one at that. So far I keep renewing it in hopes it turns up, but it's not looking good and I'm going to have to confess here soon. I'm scared!
Usually you just have to pay to replace the book. Our library will not let you buy a new one and turn it in either. You have to pay them for the book and they will reorder it. I have not lost a book, but a friend has lost one. We came close to losing a DVD when Isaiah was little. It ended up in the trash somehow. We searched for days until we looked in our trash in the garage. Thank goodness garbage day hadn't arrived yet.
They hunt you down and take every book from your house! HA! Totally joking. They will just make you pay for the book. If you lose three books in one year (even if you paid for them), they will not let you check out anymore. I just recently got a library card so all the rules are still imprinted in my brain. The librarian was very stern, she must have been able to tell that I am kind of a flake and might lose one! HAHA!
I've renewed the book twice and I think I can do it up to 4 times as long as there is not a hold on it. Since the book is random, I don't think anyone will request it. (I can't even really remember what it's called), I really hope I find it.
Okay, too funny. I hope you find the book. Otherwise you might have to pay $1.00.
This is weird. My question for today revolves around the library.
I hope you find the book! GL! (never lost one)
