Zoe is 7 weeks. She is a very happy baby that smiles often. I am starting to get into a routine and regularly leaving the house with them both. I recently took over the babywearing group for this area that was dying. Have our first meeting set up for next month and hope to expand from there! Lots and lots of work for me to prepare for this since I haven't done an actual BWing meeting before.

12 lbs...wow! She looks so sweet! Vivi has that same outfit. Smile Good luck w/your first meeting! I'm sure you'll do great! Will you bring the kids with?

We're good. Vivi keeps me on my toes...she is the Queen, as dh calls her. LOL! She's a pretty needy little lady. She's starting to use some signs, and just popped 3 teeth with 1 more starting to come through now. Hopefully once that's through she'll be a little bit easier to deal with. She's finally STTN for the most part, yay! Miles is good. He is still obsessed with his Thomas trains. I think he's going to be the 30 year old man you see at the train shows with his train set-up. Yes, I will bring the kids for demos....and DH so I don't have to worry about them when they're not up. Wink

The Queen! Lol Well sounds like she'll keep life interesting. Wink

Ashley - that is great that Vivi is STTN for the most part! Hmmm...I wonder if Miles and Michael will travel together for those shows? Wink

What an adorable picture of Zoe!

Love reading the updates!

My boys are doing great. I just found out that I will be registering J for kinder in 2 weeks! I am not ready for that! I am now in process of researching after school care for him (how I wish I could be a SAHM!). J is doing great. He is beyond ready academically for kinder. T is doing great. We have his follow up ENT appt next week where we will get a referral for another audiological eval. I'm pretty convinced the tubes have helped as he is now working hard to add those missing sounds (especially the ending sounds). He is now participating in a new season of pee wee sports and is loving it!

Cali - Sounds like the boys are doing awesome! Can't believe it is time for J to start K! Let us know how T's follow up goes! How are things with you? How is work going?

It sounds like everyone is doing so well.

Jackie- Zoe is adorable!

Ashley - Yay for getting sleep! Welcome back to the land of the living. Smile Isaiah was into trains at the same age. I think it is a little boy thing. He is not as into them anymore. He is almost a tween, so he is loves some little boy things like Super Heroes, Star Wars, and Legos. Ninjago is big for him right now, as is the video game Skylanders. Some of the other things like dinosaurs, Hot Wheels, and trains are waning. He still thinks they are cool, but he prefers the other stuff. I am not looking forward to the days where all of these things become too "babyish" for his interests. Sad

Cali- K already!! I remember when Isaiah started K. What a great year that was for him. He still loves his K teacher. She tells parents that her job is the make sure kids have a positive experience with school, and she is excellent at it. Her goal is for kids to love her and to love coming to school. That is what makes a great K teacher. Smile

As for our clan, we are still working on potty training. Bah! I have no buy-in with the girls. We tried underwear with Keira, but it was miserable for her. She started refusing to even go near the potty and would sit in the wet underwear. So, we backed off. Potty training cannot be a negative experience and she cannot feel like a failure. We never made a big deal out of wet or dirty underwear. I just think daycare was not consistent enough, and she struggled with it there. Sarafina wants nothing to do with underwear. It is super frustrating. They are too smart for their own good. They know that transitioning away from diapers means more work for them. Stickers and M&Ms don't work. I have not found their "currency" yet. We throw potty parties too. It just doesn't reinforce them enough. So, I am being patient. No pressure right now. You cannot potty train if they refuse to sit on the potty. Sad I am debating letting them decorate their potties with tons of stickers. HA!

Isaiah is doing well. The dynamic with the boys at his school keeps getting better since the boys who have the most trouble getting along with everyone keep leaving. Smile One boy, who had some definite difficulties, left before Christmas. Isaiah has actually been coping with school stress even better since that time. He seems more relaxed. Another parent said the same about her daughter. I feel for the parent and for that boy though. What a rough road they are going to travel. Sad

HAHA Julie! They probably will. Miles eats, sleeps, and breathes trains! For real! ((I have to cut toast/bread with a train cookie cutter Wink ))
BTW, you need to share a picture post, don't you?

Jackie, was wondering about that! That's cool DH will be able to come along!

Cali, K does seem crazy. Will he ride the bus?

Melanie, that's great that things are going better for I! Sorry about the potty training! We used to give Miles change to put in his piggy bank. Maybe worth a shot? ((We are STILL dealing with poop issues with him)). I'm hoping Vivi can poop-train him someday. Lol
M hasn't shown too much interest in super heros yet. Is your dh into them at all? Mine isn't, maybe that's why? He recently wanted me to make him a cape out of his blanket, but he has never watched any so I'm not real sure what that was about. Super Why maybe? LOL

My husband is not really into that kind of stuff. He will watch movies and such, but he doesn't own any superhero stuff or anything. Isaiah started the superhero stuff a tad before K, but it became big once he hit 1st grade or so. And Legos started in 1st grade and took off in a big way last year during 2nd grade. You just never know where their interests will be, but Isaiah loved all kinds of trains until around 1st grade and then he seemed to outgrow them. He still likes them, but not with the same intensity and joy as when he was 4. Harry Potter is starting to be a big thing with the kids in his grade. I am the mean mom who says he needs to wait to read it because there are so many good book series out there for kids his age. I do not want him to read Harry Potter and refuse to read for some time. That has happened to a few friends who let their children read the series in third grade. I told him that if he reads a set amount of books that we both agree upon, he can read Harry Potter. Smile

No, our district doesn't have buses because of budget cuts! I was just reading up on your little one's interests.... I find it funny how they stick to something. T loves "choo choo trains" and most other types of cars/trucks. J is now into Lego's, Imaginext toys, superheroes, star wars and transformers... Aside from a few books, he really hasn't been exposed to superheroes, star wars or transformers at home...a lot of this comes from his peer group at school.

HI all, sorry I haven't checked in in a while, its been super crazy. Life is good. Alicia is very into princesses and is becoming a real little lady. DJ is my 14 year old 3 year old, lol. He LOVES trains, trucks and really anything with a remote control or that he can take apart. We are looking at registering him for JK - WOW! Considering going the catholic school route, as they have full day JK and K, while the school they are at now only has 1/2 day. I think they both are ready for the full day and our school is not transitioning to full day next year. Have to make that decision soon! DH is looking for more part time work, so that is keeping us on our toes too...although his current employer's hours have really picked up since Xmas. I am still dealing with some pretty major health stuff, so its been hard to keep up with everything.

Really? 1st grade?! I can see this being Miles. I have quite a few years left of our house being overtaken by tracks. *sigh*

Really? No buses? Is that common there? What do people do? I would love that! I'm dreading the bus rides. Miles will be on the bus for 2 hours a day. Sad I can't even think about it without wanting to cry.

Hey ladies! It's been forever and life has been busy! We applied for 2 magnet and 2 charter schools for kindergarten. Grace's current private school is closing at the end of this school year. Sad DH has his 3rd interview with Google on the 25th. The benefits, job atmosphere and perks are incredible. I'm so exciting for him but we'd have to move to either Boston, southern California, Pittsburgh, NYC or Seattle. It's going to be so hard for my parents. Sad I hope to see them somehow every month, may be take turns flying. I don't mind leaving FL but I'd love to take my parents with me. We've decided that if DH gets the job the kids and I won't move until June and stay with my parents until then. I don't think it's fair for Grace miss out on her dance recital or Pre-K graduation. Ben will be 2 in just over a month. Planning his party for April 6th. Lots of things up in the air right now. I'll keep you posted! Best wishes to you all and your little ones! Smile

Yes. He's passed all the interviews and has his final one on the 19th. Google is paying for his flight, hotel, rental car and food for 3 days. We are in the process of trying to get a plane ticket for me to ride along so I can check out the area at the same time. Very exciting and scary stuff! Salary and cost of living with determine it all. I'll keep ya posted!:)

Ugh. I'm soooo bad now about coming onto pg.org.
Zoe turned 3 months last week! She's rolling, laughing, grabbing toys, and just generally a very easy, happy baby. Smile

Okay, so it's been FOREVER since I updated lol I'm not even sure when my last post was. A lot of you have kept up with me on facebook, but for those who haven't, here's whats up with us!

Casper just turned 7 in March, we have now graduated to conveniently forgetting to bring homework home and the battle to get up for school in the morning.
Raider just turned 3 in February, he's going to a special preschool to help him with his speech because he's not talking at the level he should be just yet. But they're both super cute and keep us busy.

My partner Carrie and I are looking at TTC#3 via reciprocal IVF which is what brings me back to the boards.
I look forward to catching up with all of you I've known for the last 8 years or so and getting to know the more recent newcomers!

Raider (3)

Casper (7)

California is out. I really really liked it there! So much to see and do! A different scenery every 30 miles or so. So different than Florida. The weather in the bay area is perfect. I'm a little sad and disappointed and so is my hubby but he is handling it well. I'm also relieved. I'd be all alone out there! No family, friends, help or babysitters! So I told him that if he really wanted it to make it a long term goal. Smile Unfortunately Google doesn't tell you why you didn't get the job...nada. So he isn't sure what to improve upon. I did get some good news from our landlord. He is lowering the rent $50 because we are "good tenants." Every bit helps! So Grace will be at a brand new charter school 5 miles from our house for kindergarten. So life is good! Smile

Sorry to hear that! I'm glad you guys are handling it well. Being away from family when the kids are so little (and are used to them!) would be really difficult. Everything happens for a reason, right?! And $50 less on your rent, that's awesome!

Crystal ~ When do you expect for start IVF? The board has been pretty quiet lately, but keep us posted on your progress! I hope you'll just need 1 cycle!

Thanks Ashley!

We have a few things to get in order before we can get started, Carrie's mom got laid off a while back and we've been helping her get back on her feet, so hopefully a few more months or so and we can really get started. We still have to choose a clinic, a doctor and find out how much it's going to cost so we have plenty of planning to keep us busy until then.

Hi Crystal - I hope IVF goes smoothly for you two. Definitely keep us posted.

Beth - I'm sorry CA didn't work out but I'm glad your landlord is giving you a break. Sounds like so many good things to keep you in FL anyway! Smile
