Thread: Don't get me wrong, I love preg.org

But, all of these changes are driving me crazy. I was about to walk someone through changing their signature and all of a sudden, I have no idea how to do it. The "user cp" link is gone so I started playing around and I realized how much has changed. I'm sure some of the changes will be fine, once I get used to them. I think there are probably some new features too but I'm a simple gal. I've been on these boards forever and I hate having to learn how to navigate it all over again.

Ok, whining over. I know a lot of ladies work hard to keep this place up and running so kudos to them. I'm just lazy.

Honestly, IMO, it would've made more sense to just wait until the entire site was ready to roll to launch it. Having 40 million changes in two weeks just drives people away. Hopefully the changes are done for now so we can get used to the new look and feel.

I just signed on and these changes are going to take some getting used to! I do like the text box for typing...pretty much all I've seen so far, LOL.

I agree. I was really shocked with the changes. I have been slowly figuring it out. I assume that you go up to My Profile to edit your signature, but I have not tried it. I will get used to it in a little while and it will be just fine. People struggle with change, but eventually it becomes your new normal. I also feel lucky that we don't have to pay to post to this site.

It new to even to the moderators!! There are some neat new things tho!

That was my first thought too but unless I'm missing something, it's not there. I've looked in a few places with no luck. I also looked it up in the FAQ's but it looks like they are still tweaking things b/c there are no actual questions answered. Just categories listed but no FAQ's listed underneath (if that makes any sense.) Hopefully that page will be fixed soon so it can walk you through the steps.

I completely agree about it being a free site though. I'll get over the changes b/c I love coming on here too much. Well, I love the ladies here too much.

I'm also wondering what the quickest way to see if a thread you posted in has any new posts? I always used the user cp link for that.

***ETA - Never mind about checking threads for new posts. It's under the Quick Links menu.

I'm annoyed! We've been without internet for a few days and I just had 3G on my phone. Well, pg.org won't let me log on from my phone! I was already bored and then one of my big time wasters was taken away.
I hate not having the user CP button. I no longer have my list of subscribed boards, so I can't get to the boards I'm interested in fast. It took me several times of looking through the giant list of boards to find this board! I gave up this morning when we first got internet after a few minutes of searching for this board.
I don't mind the format changes at all. Just the two mentioned above.
