Emotional Day...

Sorry y'all keep getting the links to other boards.

Any ideas at all?! I firmly believe I've got to still be pregnant, at least according to hcg levels! But how the heck did the base clinic come up with me not being pregnant at all?!

I think those qualiative tests are so worthless and a waste of money. I always refused them and went straight to the Beta. The numbers paint a much better picture. Differnet labs will use different calibrations to get a yes. I hoesntly would not worry, until that Beta comes back.

Yeah, I didn't even have a choice with the qualitative blood test at all. Honestly I'm surprised they just didn't give me a cup to pee in. That's what the lab did when I was pregnant with Aiden.

Oh man, I'm so sorry for all of the stress! I wish I had some thoughts to share. I do hope they are able to get the beta results to you tomorrow. :bigarmhug:

Those tests look very positive. Are they sure they didn't mix your test up with someone else?

I hope you don't have to wait too long for the beta results. The Lab had to have screwed up, those are some seriously dark tests. Hang in there!!

I need to stay away from Google. I keep finding people who ended up with a m/c but their HPTs were "faint", "barely positive", and such. Which mine clearly aren't. Tomorrow marks cycle day 42! I got my first BFP a week ago this morning and it wasn't exactly the kind you needed to squint to find. *sigh*

The beta will tell the story. My bet is that your beta will come back with some good numbers. Those tests don't look faint at all. I am sorry they are causing you to worry. I hope it gets cleared up soon.

:bighug: Update us when you can but you sure do look pregnant with those tests! I'm sorry for this added stress. I imagine your beta numbers will reflect pregnancy!

JACKIE- back away from Google and stay far, far away! It's nothing but Doom and Gloom on there!

Jackie, how long did you wait for those test results? I'm betting they screwed up the test. It shouldn't take long for one, and for another, the hospital tests are often far less sensitive than the urine strips you buy at the dollar store. Try not to worry, I think the Betas will tell a different story. You've had no spotting or other reasons to think you've had an early miscarriage right?

An hour after they drew the blood the nurse told me that it was negative. An hour after that they drew the 2nd vial to be sent into town for a beta. I have had zero cramping, spotting, etc! Absolutely nothing concerning at all. I really don't understand outside of major error how I can have instantly positive HPTs and get a negative on a qualitative blood test. It just doesn't compute in my head. I'd get it if it was faint BFPs, but they obviously aren't.

I'm so nervous waiting for the nurse to call me today! I hope she calls me today. Blum 3

Waiting stinks! Call them! Alt least if they don't have the results, they can tell you when to expect them.

Called me. No results. Nurse said she'd call the lab herself in the morning and then call me. :banghead:

Called me about half an hour ago. The nurse said, "congrats you're 7 weeks pregnant by your number!" Which makes zero sense, right? lol. And then refused to tell me what my number was. Then she was surprised when I said I was switching my insurance over so that I don't have to deal with the base clinic ever again for my heath. HA!

So good news. Really wish I knew how the heck the clinic came up with negative though!

Sheese! After all that stress and worry they should have at least told you the numbers. I'm sorry they put you through that. But yay for good numbers! :woohoo:

First appt is April 11th with a midwife! It's a practice with several OBs and midwives, like how I started off with my pregnancy with Aiden! Super excited. Biggrin

Now I've just got to find a babysitter (*sigh*) for several hours b/c their office is an hour away and then she said plan on 2 hours for the appt with waiting times.

Yay for good news! I think it is ridiculous that she refused to share the number with you. Crazy! Good luck with the new practice and finding a babysitter. I think you can probably take Aiden, but I know how hard it is to manage a young child (well, 2 at the same time, really..). I can understand wanting to make sure you can give them your full attention.

So glad that you got good news. And that you're switching practices! KUP on your pregnancy! Good luck finding a babysitter, maybe now is a good time to find some other young moms who would be willing to set up a babysitting group? Do they have notice boards for that kind of thing on base?

Sorry, I thought I had replied but apparently I hadn't. *sigh*
I'm picky about who watches my child. I want to know them first if it's babysitting. And well, don't know anyone yet. Anyone that does childcare on base Aiden can't see because he doesn't have all of his immunizations according to the CDC schedule, which they require. I'm starting to know people a bit from LLL and the CDing group locally so I'm hoping that one of them might be able to help me out.

I hope you're able to find somebody you feel comfortable leaving Aiden with! I'm really picky too. What about your family that's not too far? Biggrin

My SIL works, not to mention she's an hour in the wrong direction from the city my appointment is in. Though she agreed today when I saw her to take Aiden in November so we don't have to worry about him while I'm in hospital. I'll just have to call her as soon as I go into labor so that she has time to get to us before I have to leave for the hour drive to the hospital.
