    Question Hair Loss/ Breastfeeding

I seem to be loosing a lot of hair every day. Clumps and clumps. Every morning in the shower; every time I brush my hair. Even if I run my hands in it while I'm putting it up in a clip or hair tie. For those who are nursing or nursed before - do you remember this happening to you? If it did with M it wasn't this bad because I'd remember!

Oh yes, I remember that! I didn't loose much after Alicia, but then I was pregnant at 8 months pp, but after DJ I lost tons and tons of hair. It kept up until about 3 months after he weaned. I have friends who got bald patches! It comes back eventually but it came back in differently for me, my hair now is very different than it was before kids. I had to go to the dollar store and get one of those mesh things they sell that fit into the drain and put it in the bathroom as I kept clogging the drain. Don't worry, its normal!

OMG! With Andrew I was sure I would go bald. It was really worrying me. I would lose HUNDREDS each time I showered AND anothe round of hundreds when I brushed my hair. If I just ran my hands down it, I would lose another 50+. I only BF him for 6 months but the hair loss continued for months. Just now it's starting to get better. I changed up my vitimans and added Biotin to the mix which is for hair and nail health- that seemed to do the trick.

My hair is much thinner now than it was before. I'm still hoping it bounces back.

I'm still losing a lot of hair! I'm not worried about losing so much hair as I have so much of it, but pulling so much out grosses me out!

Yes!! I was told by a hairdresser after I had Thomas that it was becuase you grow so much more extra hair during pregnancy that once all thoose lovely hormones leave our system that the hair starts shedding nearly a whole years worth of hair. My hair is however much thinner than it was pre pregnancy. Thankfully I had a LOT of hair (So much so I would get charge extra long hair prices at the hairdresser for shoulder length hair I had that much.).

Oh man, I would have a pile of hair after I was done fixing it. The shower drain would get clogged. I had it all over my clothes and I would find it all over Jordan too. I had two really bad rounds of hair loss and now that those areas are growing back I have these strange little groupings of shorter hair. One clump is in the front so it looks like I had really short bangs that are growing out. My hairdresser could see the growth too the last time she cut it. I have those shorter hairs all over my head! But at least it does seem to come back. I'll be happy when my hair is all a normal length again.

All of the bolded happened to me as well. I don't know when it slowed down. Thankfully now it should thicken up and get longer since I am pg again - although I will start the thinning out phase too soon for my liking.

I am experiencing this right now and I have to say it is so annoying! The little hairs stick up and out which make it difficult when I want to wear my hair back.
