Halloween!

I know this is a ways off, but at least sooner than Christmas *coughJuliecough* Wink

I want to have a halloween party for Ava's b-day this year. Do you have a costume in mind for your LO's? Any great halloween party ideas to share to help me get started? Activities/crafts that would be not too messy to havea bunch of toddlers make?

I found the cutest little pink pirate costume that I am going to get for Alison this year.

As far as craft ideas....I do not have any! But I will think about it!

Deacon told me yesterday that he wants to be a pirate again. We'll see how many times that changes in the next few months.

We did his bday party last year as a Halloween party. Did you see the pictures on FB?

If DS gets a birthday party we'll do a halloween/fall theme probably. No idea what costume I want to go with for him. I'm just trying to get to mid Sept first when we'll find out DH's career plane. lol.

I think M2 might be a bear. Going to see what M says he wants to be. If he doesn't say something specific I'll try to come up with something cute. So far he has been a monkey and a ghost.

I think a Halloween Birthday for Ava sounds great! Can't think of anything off the top of my head but will post if I come up with something. What will she be? That might effect what I come up with!

One of my co-workers gave Luke a little snoopy dog that plays the peanuts theme song when you squeeze him. That combined with all of the Charlie Brown head jokes we make, we're looking at something like this:

I loved having Halloween birthday parties as a kid. We went to a party last year where all the kids bobbed for apples. They were all soaked, but they had SO much fun. They also had those mudpie cups, you know, the ones with chocolate pudding, crushed oreos and gummy worms. They also painted little pumpkins which was a big hit.

How fun! I love talking birthday parties! I don't think it's too early to start planning! Wink

I like the painting pumpkins idea! All ages can do that!

Check out this website: http://karaspartyideas.blogspot.com/search/label/halloween There are TONS of great ideas for almost any party theme on there!

I think Miles will probably be Thomas the Train this year?

AShley- Any crafts you're making for yourThomas theme? We're going to a Thomas b-day in a few weeks. The Mom is super crafty and I was hoping to make her 3 yr old boy a gift Thomas realted, but I know nothing about Thomas, other than he's a train. lol.

Love Kara's party ideas!

DH's brother is in the Navy, and Jackson tried on one of his hats the other day and it was so cute! So I'm hoping I can convince him to dress up as an old time Navy sailer, with the old school navy uniform. Im going to ask BIL if he can get some patches and I'll probably have to make a bit of the costume.

I used to have Halloween themed bday parties as a kid, too! They were always so much fun. As far as activities go, I was also going to suggest painting small pumpkins! I can't wait to hear about what you plan!

As far as costumes go, I'm not sure what the boys will be this year. I will let J choose this year, so maybe it will be something interesting?

Oh, I meant for his halloween costume. No plans for his birthday yet. I don't really want to have a party at our house this year. That sounds like a lot of work when I'll be just 3 weeks away from my due date. We're thinking of maybe doing a party at a local bowling alley, but I'm still thinking of other ideas. We don't have much near us in the winter for his age, but he LOVES to bowl so I think that'd be fun.
