Do you feel ready for Halloween tomorrow? I have the kids' costumes, but I do not feel ready yet. It is supposed to be cold here, so I am not sure if we will be out much. I will have to leave work early to take the kids to my DH's work. They always do a little trick-or-treat time for kids there. The girls will take some time in getting them ready because I will have to get Sarafina's hair in braids and get her crown headband bobby pinned to her hair. Keira will have to cooperate in allowing me to get her hair in a bandana. Isaiah is super easy. Thank goodness for that!
I got Aiden's shirt and pants ready to go. Bought some light face paint, which as long as I sit him on the bathroom counter so he can watch himself should go fine. Got my matching t-shirt ready to go too! Right now I'm hoping that DH isn't flying tomorrow night (night week schedule), so he can sneak away to help with walking around for 30 minutes. I'm worried about keeping up with a free roaming toddler at night with me waddling so slowly! lol
I decided to take the day off. The boys are having a parade/ carnival at school, and I decided that I didn't want to miss out. Their costumes are super easy in terms of getting them ready. With, T, the challenge will be whether or not he will keep his costume on!
Mommy to 2 amazing little boys!
Angel babies 6/9/07 & 11/16/07
We're ready. Ava is going to be Cinderella and Andrew is a Dragon. I'm a bit sad that G will be out of town an I will have to take them out ToTing on my own. But it should be fun all the same.
We're ready, I guess! Miles is at preschool and he was able to wear his costume to school. Vivi is napping but as soon as she wakes I'll get her in her costume and gather our gloves, hats...it's actually pretty nice here today but is a little bit chilly. We're going TorTing to the local businesses after I pick Miles up from preschool, and then we'll swing by the grandparent's.
I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Anyone have pictures to share?!?
Halloween was just as crazy as I expected. I went to pick up Isaiah and could not get anyone to let me into the school. You have to ring the bell and the main office is closed, so the afterschool care employees have to let you in. Well...they were upstairs in the art room. Umm...you need staff at the door to let parents in, duh? So, I had to leave him there and go get the girls. We dressed the girls at my DH's work and they TorT'ed there. Then, DH went to get Isaiah, and we strolled around the neighborhood for about 1/2 hour. It was too cold out to stay out longer. Isaiah refused to wear a coat or gloves, and DH didn't want the girls in heavy coats (why? I suspect because he wanted us to be finished faster. ). Then, we went out to Steak-n-Shake for our traditional dinner after TorTing. No pictures to post because I am at work. I have one on on my FB page.
The best quote of the night belonged to Keira. "I want more trick-or-treat, Mom!" So funny! She is all about the candy this year. She wanted her bags of candy this morning. She was mad that she had to eat a real breakfast and could not have any candy until after school today.
TorT was a HUGE hit by Aiden! He didn't really get it at first, but got into the spirit rather quickly. He loved having his face painted up, getting stuff (though he didn't realize it was candy till later lol), seeing all the other kids dressed up, and running around. I didn't think we'd make it that far, but we ended up being out for an hour!
Sorry it's big. Ive been having PB issues so stealing off of FB.
Love that picture of the 3 of you, Jackie!
