Just checking in while I have a minute...I can tell life with 2 is going to be a little bit crazy.
I am so tired! I've had 2 hours of sleep since Tuesday when I woke at 445am. I know my lack of sleep is just beginning. Dh is home today and tomorrow helping me out, but he has to work on Saturday as of now. He's been a great helper so far. Everything with the labor and delivery and recovery went as well as it possibly could have. She came super fast, which was surprising because with Miles I had to push for 3 hours! I pushed for 9 minutes -- 3 contractions and she was out! And...not a single tear. I feel great besides the lack of sleep! We were able to come home yesterday after just 24 hours - I was dying to get home to Miles!
Miles is LOVING his sister. He's being a great helper so far.
My milk came in this morning and Vivi is loving it. She's been a pro nurser from the start which has been awesome! We have to go back to the birthing center tomorrow. They forgot to take her cord clamp off before we left, and apparently you need a special tool to get it off.
I'll try to post a few pictures later tonight or tomorrow and play catch up, but a certain little somebody is calling me right now.
Love that you have a little girl calling you right now! And how sweet Miles is! Take your time. We'll be here. I think I told you this already but I love that you are calling her Vivi!
That transition from 1 to 2 children is rough. My Ped says, it more than doubles your work. I didn't fully understand that until I had Drew.
You guys take your time settling into your routine. PLease give her some cuddles from me!
Glad to hear that other than lack of sleep, life is going well! And major for having a pro nurser already!
Great to hear from you Ashely! Love little missy's nick name! Glad that things went so smoothly for you and that Miles is loving on his little sister.
