    Default hip pain in pregnancy

One of my hips is killing me! It started earlier today. I don't remember this happening with Miles. Did anybody deal with this when you were pregnant? What did you do to help with the pain? Every now and then I get a huge shooting pain in that one hip, otherwise I can deal with it, it's just really uncomfortable. I've got a warm bath going now, hoping that might help.

I had horrible hip pain with Ava. Any shift of weight cause horrible pain and it would take me 30 minutes to get up and go to the bathroom. It was awful! I went to a Chiro. In 3 visits I was 100% better. Although, my hips still hurts from time to time now.

I think ice packs and heating pads will be your friend! Maybe a massage as well?

Hang in there! not too much longer!

I didn't have hip pain but I did have bad pelvic pain. My first choice would have been a chiropractor but I was very hesitant because of all the contracting I had that started early on.

If you have access to a chiro you trust then I say try that. If not then maybe you can find some stretches for pregnancy that may help? Or, just put your feet up as much as possible. You're in the home stretch and you deserve to do that!

I had AWFUL hip pain with both of my pregnancies. Unfortunately, nothing helped. I was told that the pain was the result of hormones and that during my post partum period, the pain would disappear.... the pain was gone quickly after birth. I'm sorry you have this pain. It will go away soon!!

YES! I had awful hip pain on one side starting about 17 weeks. Nothing helped other than taking it easy. It bothered me more on days when I was more busy, walking a lot, bending down, etc. My hip still hurts if I do too much walking, but at least it's not a daily thing anymore.

I have some hip pain but it's not as bad as you are saying. Mine is from the baby pushing against the inside of my hip. It's really uncomfortable. I hope your bath helped.

In the bath last night I noticed that every time she would kick hard enough where limbs would be sticking far out of my belly, that's when the shooting pain would happen. So I'm guessing she's just positioned on a nerve or something? My hip feels a little better this morning, but still not perfect.

I had it really bad with this last pregnancy too, mostly when I was lying down. Nothing helped except delivering the baby. You're almost done!
