    Children's names & ages Ava, 3 Andrew, 2
Any new milestones for your children? Not really.
What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? Andrew is still working on colors, shapes, counting and ABC's. Right now I mainly focus on his colors since he just cannot seem to get it. I'm googling new ways to teach him, since mt 2 methods have nt been working. Ava is working on reading and word reconization. She is great with her 'at' words (cat, bat, pat, etc) so we'll move on pretty soon.
Do you have any events planned this summer? We're going to a wedding at the end of June and some little camping trips here and there. Other than that, no real plans. Just to contiue to chip away at our never ending home improvement list.
Anything else you want to add? We had our concrete patio extended. They poured yesterday and they are coming back today or tomorrow to finish up. I'm excited! We couldn't stamp and stain it all like I originally wanted. Our existing slab didn't leave any room for an overlay, so we did a boarder instead. I think it will still be nice. The larger size is really nice! It almost doubled is size!

    Name: Jackie
Children's names & ages: Aiden, 19 months tomorrow
Any new milestones for your children? He's steadily adding to his vocabulary. Newest words are Elmo and ball.
What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? Right now I'm just trying to undo the damage from our week with my family. They refused to move unsafe items out of his reach and claim that an 18 month old should know better. They constantly yelled no at him. I'm petty certain they slapped his hand too when I wasn't around. Things that DH and I don't do. Aiden's behavior since coming back and been extreme compared to before the trip. Constantly yelling no at me and hitting me and the cat. He's also having way more meltdowns. *sigh* I know some is the age, but I'm really regretting going home.
Do you have any events planned this summer? My sister is flying out in 2.5 weeks and then I'm driving her back and staying another week home. This time I'm staying with my ILs!!!!
Anything else you want to add? I'm16 weeks pregnant and in 2 weeks will have the anatomy scan!!!

    Name Joy
    Children's names & ages Daphne (3), Mac (9 months)

Any new milestones for your children? Daphne is writing her name and friends' names really well these days. She needs help spelling, but can do all the letters. Mac is signing "milk" and "all done" as well as waving bye bye and saying "dada".

What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? Hmm, I'm trying to help Mac crawl, but he's pretty content to roll everywhere for now. Daphne starts at her new preschool on Monday and I'm hoping she doesn't miss her old mother's day out too much.

Do you have any events planned this summer? We have a wedding in Portland (well, Mt. Hood) in August and we'll probably spend some time with DH's family in Washington afterward.

Anything else you want to add? I start my job on Monday!

    Name Nicole
    Children's names & ages Alicia (3), DJ (2.5)

Any new milestones for your children? Alicia has had a speech explosion. She is now counting to 20 and knows most of her letters. She still refuses to write any of them, but recognizes most of them. Her big thing right now is hopping...she just learned to hop on one foot without consistently falling down, and now its THE thing! DJ knows his ABCs, can count to 13 and is suddently jumping (two feet). Between him jumping and her hopping, its pretty funny!

What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? Alicia: we are working on the helping verb "is", using the word she in sentences and behaviour. She gets very frustrated with her speech delay so she tends to act out. DJ we are working on identifying the letters and counting to 20. He wants to learn to ride a bike too, so that is about it.
Do you have any events planned this summer? We are going to Wasaga for a week, and camping in Algonquin park for a week. Otherwise, we are planning on going camping a few times and a few day trips here and there.
Anything else you want to add? No, busy busy. We should be foster parents shortly!

    Name Ashley
Children's names & ages Miles 3.5 years, Vivian 6 months
Any new milestones for your children? Miles is finally 100% potty trained. He's been "day trained" for awhile, but we had a hard time getting him to do #2 on the toilet (he was scared, and when he would try he just couldn't do it. So he went in a pull-up) Finally, he does it!!! And he stays dry at night, too! He has been saying he's a big boy lately...and wants to do everything himself. Vivi sits up unassisted, she tries to clap when we do, she waves her hands but can't quite get them together, lol.
What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? Miles - getting him to dress himself. Also getting him to try new foods...he will sometimes lick them now...baby steps, I guess? Vivi - solid foods. She's just not interested, but I keep trying (purees). I sure hope she's not going to be as picky as her brother!
Do you have any events planned this summer? Nope! Not besides a couple family reunions! We signed Miles up for TBall so he starts that soon!
Anything else you want to add? I'm tired. That's all.

What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? We are doing a Summer reading program through our library...so there are different activities we have to do each day.
Do you have any events planned this summer? A couple of camping trips, that is about it. Nothing too exciting.
Anything else you want to add? I really wish it was Friday!

    Name Julie
Children's names & ages Michael 3 and Matthew 16 months
Any new milestones for your children? Matthew loves to say elephant. I think it's so funny because he has some words but a couple of the simple words he doesn't say exactly...but he can say elephant! And he likes to dance. It's sweet because he just goes around in circles but the way he holds his arms up let's you know he plans to dance.
What sorts of things are you working on w/your children? We are always working on different things as we go along. I can't think of anything specific. Like Ashley, I'm working on Michael dressing himself.
Do you have any events planned this summer? Nothing!
Anything else you want to add? Not much. I recently started to volunteer for an organization that I've wanted to help out for awhile. Went to one meeting and I have another one in a couple weeks. After that I've got some projects I'll need to get started on for them.
