Joy...in here, please!

Now that you're due next month - fill us in!

Are you ready?!?
Are you doing a nursery? (pictures?)
Any names in mind?
New belly picture?

...anything else?

Hi Ashley, thanks for thinking of me! Smile

Are you ready?!? No. Not even close. I've been so busy with school and travel that I haven't had time to get stuff done. I have a list a mile long, but I probably won't really get started until 8/1 after I take my final.
Are you doing a nursery? (pictures?) No. We only have three bedrooms and just this week DH's BFF moved in with us for a couple of months. He's finishing up his dissertation for his PhD and needed a cheap place to stay while he writes. He'll be taking care of Daphne when the baby comes. Smile So for now he's in the guest room. We plan on keeping the baby in our room for 6 months or so and then moving him into Daphne's room. If they don't sleep well with that arrangement, then we'll convert the guest room to a nursery.
Any names in mind? We're really not sure yet. We'll wait until he's born. The front runners are:
- Wyatt Carson (I grew up in Carson City, NV)
- Cormac Thomas (Thomas is a family name on both sides. We'd call him Mac)
- Declan Thomas (We like Declan the best, but don't really want him to have a D name)
- Edward Carson (Edward is my grandfather's name. We'd call him Eddie)
It will probably be one of these four.
New belly picture? Oh man, I look like a whale. I don't have any on my computer at the moment, but I'll upload one from the wedding this weekend later on. I measured 34 weeks today, which is what I measured when Daphne was born (she was only 5lbs8oz), so I feel huge.

Next month?? Can that be right? I swear you were just 20 weeks. Although, when I was pregnant, everyone was shocked at how fast it went by except for me, lol.

How nice that you will have help after he is born. Biggrin

So will he sleep in a bassinet for a while? Or will you put a crib in your room?

Love the name combinations! All of the first names flow nicely with the middle names.

Joy - It's interesting that you like Declan the best but that you don't really want a D name. Matthew almost wasn't Matthew because I didn't really want another M name. I figured for sure people would think it was all about M's. There is only one person that says something about it to me otherwise no one and referenced that fact at all. But when h and I were trying to compromise on name choices Matthew was the best of the bunch. I like all your name choices. Can't wait to hear what you decide! And I can't wait to see him!

It sounds like things have been so busy for you. Share those pictures when you can!

Morning Joy! Glad to hear that you will have help when the baby is born! I really like all your name choices, and the nicknames that you indicated. Can't wait to see pictures when you have time.

I love your update! The names you picked out are great - I can't wait to see which one you guys settle on.

I'm also eager to hear how well he room sharing goes. I'm trying to convince DH that kids can share rooms and its no big deal. We are in a 3 bedroom as well and its going to be tight to give up the extra room.

I really like all of your name choices, and the nicknames! I totally understand not wanting another "D" name. I'm trying to steer clear of another "M" name, but I'm finding that I'm just kind of drawn to them! All 4 of the children in my family have an "A" name, so I always said I wasn't going to do that!

I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures!

Ashley, we have one of those families too. My Mom and both my sisters also have K names. We all have middle names that start with D (including both my parents). The funny thing is that my dad's name is Jerry and two of us married men with names that started with J too. My oldest sister was the last to get married and when she started dating Robert we thought there was a mistake. Wink I didn't pick Jordan b/c it was a J name though, I just really liked that name.

Love your name choices!! I can't even pick out a favorite, because they are all great!!

We tried to stay away from multiple A names too, but DH is so disagreeable when it comes to names. So we just went with what we would have named Ava if she was a boy. It jsut so happened it was another A name. It use to bother me a little, which is why I wanted to call Andrew, Drew. But now it doesn't phase me in the least! Go with what you both like. Smile
