I'm going to need some details on this shoot. Did you make the stand? Bring all the props? Did you have the family decide what to wear, or did you dress them?
I want this all! We just did our professional pictures yesterday and now I'm really feeling like we should have come to you. My guy is good. Very good, but he is not all that child friendly, nor as creative as you are. He mainly does automotive and fashion photography so 2 toddlers are out of his element. But his pictures are beautiful. I'm seriously bummed these photos are not of my family. I L.O.V.E them!
Next time I'm bringing my business to CA. Maybe in the spring....

Let's see, details... My wonderful DH made the stand. He is SO supportive of me and thankfully loves to build also. He made it and even drove down with Jackson and I to set up, then watched Jackson during the session.
I've had this vision in my head for about 3 weeks. Thankfully I was already talking about doing a session with Charissa, so when I brought up the idea, she was all for it. I told her a color scheme and she went with it, made her daughter's headband, and made the bunting for the stand to match. I know her family and know how adorable they are, so I knew they were a perfect fit for this vision.
I already had mason jars, paper straws, and red cupcake wrappers. All I had to do was make cupcakes (out of a box) and caramel apples (which were a PITA to make). I already had the red chair, Charissa brought a few more!
Charissa and I have slowly been working out a great work relationship She makes headbands and knit hats, and I take the pictures for her, which equals pictures for her etsy site for her, and free headbands to use for me. I was telling her that this spring we should do a spring-type "Sweet Shop" mini-sessions with the stand and use spring colors, and have her headbands for sale for clients to buy for their session. It just has happened to work out to be a great team! I'm always handing out her cards and she has mine as well.
My biggest stressor was the location, the apple orchard I had planned on, I called and they were super rude. This one was a happy accident. The owners are SO nice!
