Let's Chat

It's a little slow around here. Just thought I'd start a random thread.

How is everyone? What is going on this week?

It's busy over here. My husband is doing his last 4 flights this week and will graduate from this training on Friday. We hand over the apartment keys Monday and start our drive to NC on Tuesday. Our rental furniture leaves Friday, so we'll have a few nights of sleeping on the floor again. Woo. Blum 3 Lots of packing and cleaning this week though! I will say it's easier this time than it was in December because now I'm packing up everything we have rather than having to make decisions about what we do and don't need for 3 months.

We are super busy here. The kids all have haircuts tonight and I am single parenting it today. Tomorrow is our typical Zumba night at the Y. Isaiah has counseling on Thursday. I am pretty sure that I will be happy when we hit Friday. Biggrin

Its READING WEEK!!!! Can you tell I'm excited Smile Slow work week, thank goodness. DH is working tonight and tomorrow night so I'm single parenting this week. We finally finished hanging all the drywall in the upstairs hall this weekend, so I am hoping to start taping after dinner, we will see if the kids will self-entertain or not Wink Friday night I am spending at my BFFs house to celebrate her 39th birthday. Ha, she is Older than me again for a month or so Smile We plan on going out to dinner, hitting a club and then coming home to lots of wine and a girl movie in her newly renovated basement. Should be a blast!

Busy here, too. And I have a few crafty things I've been wanting to do so I've been trying to work on those in my free time (vs coming on the computer).

That's true! I hope all goes well over the weekend and that you are writing us from NC in no time!

Sounds like fun!

School, school, school. Oh, and prep for a baby shower (tons of sewing to do for it). And then on Saturday I'm taking Daphne to the ballet for a matinee and we have a birthday party on Sunday. A week from Friday we leave for Nevada for the baby shower. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment.

I signed the kids up for a lot of classes over the next few months, (gymnastics, swimming, and ballet) So we're at a class 4 days a week. With that, and me working out like a crazy person, trying in vain to get fit for our upcoming trip to Mexico, we're pretty busy.

I'm also gonna start some indoor house projects before it gets warm enough to move to the outside projects. Our floors are getting refinished a darker color. Our trim currently matches the floor color but when that changes, the trim needs to as well. So I plan on painting it white. I also have some doors that I want to paint white to freshen up.

Everyone sounds so busy!!! Julie, what have you been up to?

Jackie, good luck with the move! I hope you love your new area!!

Julie - I bought supplies to make a yarn wreath. That's half done. I also have an old chair I'm going to paint and put new fabric (on the cushion there's some fabric) on it and I'm going to put it outside by our front door. So I have the supplies for that. Bought a child's rocking chair for Vivian's room but that needs to be painted.

Everyone is so crafty. I am jealous! The idea of painting, or making a yarn wreath, or anything like that makes me want to scream in frustration. I suck at all of those things. Lol

Mel- We can't all be Ashleys. Wink I really enjoy crafting, but I'm not great at it either. I do it because I enjoy it.

Ashley-post pictures of what you create!

I will try to share some pics! I don't really have a lot of time to be crafty these days, but I was missing it. So we went to the craft store the other day and got a few things for me to work on.
