Well, she has a first name set in stone, but no middle name. Pretty sure I've driving DS's BB crazy with names, so now to do the same with y'all.
First name will be Zoe.
Aiden's middle name is Alexander which is my dad's middle name (and my sister is Alexandria).
This time we were thinking we'd have the kid's middle name come from DH's side of the family. Only problem? Lack of girls!!!
My MIL is Rebecca Monica. My SIL is Cheryle Deloris. That's it. DH does not know any aunts, grandmothers, etc. The rest of the family is boys. This is their first granddaughter after 6 grandsons!
DH and I hate Monica and Deloris. And don't really care for Cheryle. That leaves Rebecca. Zoe Rebecca sounds fine and I'm considering it .....BUT my BFF's name is Rebecca. My close friend from high school is Rebecca. We know like 500 of them. Even my good friend from college is named Rebekkah! It was THE name for so long and we don't want people thinking we named her after them. MIL honestly would be flattered but wouldn't care if we named her after her or not. Any thoughts?
So then we've considered tons of other names.
DH likes Christiana. It's okay. I honestly don't know what else he likes because he won't tell me anymore saying who cares (I think he's tired of this convo lol).
I like Adara (following the greek meaning of beauty). DH doesn't care for it because it's weird after Aiden. Would people think we've lost our minds going from an Aiden Alexander to a Zoe Adara?!
Meanwhile my mom keeps telling me that we *have* (ha ha) to have her middle name be Lee. It's tradition on that side to make the middle name of girls be Lee. My grandmother is Laura Lee, my mom is Donna Lee, and I'm Jackie Lee. DH hates Lee. Can't blame him. Can one really get much more southern?! OMG the drama we're going to get because her middle name won't be Lee!!! Seriously can't imagine a Zoe Lee.
I'm probably over thinking this, but to me it's important for it to feel right!
Appreciate any thoughts - please be honest! And any suggestions.
