We finally (meaning Jason) settled on Nora for a first name. He was sort of holding out because he liked Cameron, but we agreed we should avoid another gender neutral name. He also really liked Avery, but I was hesitant since it's #90 in popularity and seems to be getting more popular. Luckily, he likes Nora just as much so we've settled on it for a first name.
As far as a middle name, we already used Mae from my family for Jordan so I thought we should pick one from his side of the family this time. His grandmother passed away in October, less than a week before we conceived Nora. It only seems appropriate to name this little girl after her, especially since she played a big part in Jason's life. Her first name was Mildred. Thank goodness that Alice was her middle name. I was worried that Nora Alice would not flow with having two a's in a row but I keep saying it in my head and it feels like the right name for her. No other grand kids are named after her either so I feel good that we will be able to do that, especially after losing her so recently.
So, Nora Alice it is!
I Love, Love, Love it!! It's a beautiful, strong, classic name! AND, her initials spell out 'Name' (well, 'nam' but same diff) as in it's the 'nam' for your baby! It's FATE I tell you! Perfect!
I really like the name too! Congrats on having a settled name!
I also thought about the initials being NAM but I was saying it more like VietNAM. I like thinking about it as 'name' better, lol.
And Joy, I suspect your traveling has you tired? We already have a Jordan. I suppose we could be like those brothers on that show Newhart. "I'm Larry. This is my brother Darryl and this is my other brother Darryl."
Wow! I love, love her name!
