Preggo update on me

I went to the Perinatologist today and had my anatomy scan. She said our baby looks perfect and my cervix is looking great too. I find myself getting a little nervous as I get closer to 20 weeks because that was the first time I went to L&D when I was pregnant with Jordan. Hopefully starting the 17P earlier this time will help us avoid those trips to the hospital at 12am. Send my uterus some calm and relaxed vibes. Biggrin

I know I spilled the beans here a while back so I will go ahead and let you all know that we got a confirmation for team PINK!!! SHHHHHHH!!!! Smile We will tell my parents when they come in town in two weeks and then spread the news to the rest of our friends and families after that. I was thinking we might do a cake with pink icing on the inside. I know it's kind of a trendy thing going on right now and I think it's a fun idea. I'm open to other suggestions if you all have any! It would be fun to involve Jordan but we did get her involved in announcing our pregnancy. I'm thinking this time around the cake might be the way to go. I have been getting her to practice saying "sister" though. TOO CUTE. Sounds like "sis-er".

I have to admit that I'm thrilled at the idea of having another girl. Mostly because I am excited for Jordan. I have four good friends and two of them are my sisters, lol. I love the idea of her having someone like that in her life. Jason seems perfectly happy with the idea of another girl too. Hey, my dad has three girls and I think he's pretty happy about it. Wink

Yahoo Congratulations!!!! That is wonderful!!!

I love the cake idea. The balloons sound cute, too! I remember having my family over and we did everything in blue. No one caught on, lol! It would be really cool if Jordan made the announcement! Can't wait to hear how your announcement goes.

I saw this on pinterest and thought it was a bit creative compared to similar ideas.

So happy for you, Kayla! Sisters! Fun! Jordan will be such a good big sister. I'm so glad your appointment went well. I love the gender reveal cakes. Keep us posted on how it goes when you share the news. I wonder what Jordan's little sister's name will be...hmmm...

How exciting! Congrats! I enjoy my girls and I am really glad that my twins were the same sex. I think that even though they will fight, they will be best friends, and will likely stand up and support each other in times of need. It is something that my DS does not have and I worry about that.

I love the cake idea. I wish I was creative with ideas, but we did not do anything to announce the girls. My parents and my MIL were at the ultrasound, so they found out at the same time that we did.

I'll grab my list later and share. I've only picked up the book once or twice so I haven't even come close to narrowing it down.

On a side note, I have apparently developed an allergy to caster oil. It's the medium they mix the progesterone in for the shots and I've been having horrible itching that has now developed into whelps on my back around the injection site. The last few shots have gotten worse. Sad THANKFULLY, I can get the 17P in suppository form. I asked if there was any downside to the suppositories as opposed to the shot and was told no. I hope that is true and they are just as effective.

Oh, that sucks. Sad I'm glad there's an alternative that should work for you.

I am sorry to hear about the reaction to the castor oil. Biggrin How uncomfortable. I hope the suppositories work well for you. They are messy, but they seem to work just as well.
