I learned that Alison will gladly eat a ton of steamed broccoli as long as there is no butter on it. Isn't that against the law or something? To not have butter on your broccoli?! HAHA!

Kristi, that's pretty funny! Smile

I learned this week how to turn a veggie platter into an owl.

I learned that my supervisor is a giant d-bag. She thinks that somehow my complaining about my back spasm/pinched nerve on Monday/Tuesday was just lead up to Luke having a fever when I picked him up on Wednesday afternoon and me staying home with a sick baby (because he couldn't go back to school) Thursday.

:Sigh:

On a not depressing note, I learned that Luke enjoys all kinds of food (including sushi) and that this: http://www.meninaprons.net/archives/2008/06/dr_pepper_sauced_boneless_wing.html
is delicious if you add a little garlic, a little more hot sauce and a few drops of liquid smoke to the sauce. Like, omg, delicious.

I learned that it is impossible to try and stage pictures for your Christmas card with two sick kids when you are by yourself.

Case in point:

Joy- You're crazy! I think that one is perfect! You really do make some cute kiddos! Sorry they're sick, though. Sad

Okay, this thread is really funny.

I learned that I shouldn't tell my mom when I'm 2cm dialated. She has been texting and calling me multiple times a day to "check in" since they're the ones who will come to our house to watch M when we have to head to the hospital. Annoying.

OMG - I have learned so much this week that I'm in shock that my pg brain can contain it all. I have an awful memory but I've retained every last detail about everything I have heard about thyroid cancer, the meds, Rx doses, etc. (see my new post to understand). I've really amazed myself all week - lol.

Agreed.

Sorry about the boss Mandie. That sucks.

Joy, I know I'm supposed to be feeling sympathetic but that picture is just too cute. Definitely a keeper.

Ashley, can you tell her you shrunk back up to a 1? Maybe she'd lay off a little. Wink

Jenn, I'm sorry it's been such a tough week.

Yay, Kristi! Biggrin I would love news like that.

Amber, I totally agree. He doesn't really look any older than my parents!

Jackie, I see that site is showing the new bed sharing ads. Why not teach people how to do it safely instead of scaring everyone to death? The ads are not informative in any way.

I learned this week that breastfeeding really is about a relationship with your child. A special relationship that I treasured more than I had previously realized. We are officially done BF'ing and I'm more emotional about it than I ever imagined I would be. I think it would have been easier if it had been in our own time instead of happening before I feel like we were really ready. I am very grateful that I was able to do it as long as I did though, so it's bittersweet.

Tonight I learned that 3 year olds can't keep a secret!!! J has been telling me two items that he insists he buys his daddy for Christmas. Well, we finally bought one of them and he told his daddy and showed him where it was hiding.... oh well. He's excited.... I just hope DH acts excited when he opens it on Christmas morning!!

Good for you, Kayla! I agree that it really is about the bond you develop with your child. J self weaned at 13 months and honestly, I thought T would do the same...now 14 months later, it doesn't seem like he will ever want to wean!
