I survived the trip back. It was enjoyable at least. Unfortunately our first day home was with the power being out for 8.5 hours yesterday. NOT FUN. :p
Bummer about the power! :( That is not fun.
Kayla- I am glad to know I am not the only one battling naps, but it is sure is frustrating. I need to check out a book about sprited personalities again. Keira is my spiritied one and I need to try some new things with her.
Here is an update about Isaiah: The school did not want to move him from his current class because their class lists were set. I figured that might be the case, but I had to at least have dialogue with the school about it and about my concerns. I let them know about my concerns related to bullying and that I felt there was a personality conflict with his teacher. I did say good things about his teacher though. I did let the teacher and the administration know that I was against moving his desk this year, as I feel it made him vulnerable to teasing last year. I also asked for a meeting to discuss a plan for making sure Isaiah feels more confident and secure this year. His teacher did e-mail me last night (school started today) and let me know that she would keep an eye on the boy who Isaiah had a conflict with last year. We shall see how it goes. I suspected some bullying last year, but could get Isaiah to really talk to me about it. Thank goodness he is in counseling. He trusted his counselor enough to open up about it. Whether it was real or perceived, we can now find ways to address it.
My girls are trying to adjust back to a school/daycare schedule. The past two day have been so trying. They are so tired in the morning because they are not used to getting up early and are exhausted in the evenings. They just cry and fuss when we get home even when I ply them with snacks and drinks. They miss me too, which is part of it. Last night, I put them in the bath at 6 and put them to bed at 7. We will be back to a routine soon, I hope.
Kayla, if you ever have any free time ( :lol: ) we'd love a tour of your new home!
Melanie, I'm sorry they weren't willing to switch classes. Hopefully the teacher will keep a close eye and put a stop to something before it starts this year. I hope the girls settle into a schedule soon! That's gotta be rough. You sound so busy!
Jackie, why was the power out so long?
Anybody have any fun plans this weekend?
My parents are coming to watch the kids while we go out to dinner tonight. Not sure where we'll go yet.

Melanie, sorry that they won't move him. hope this year is better and his anxiety is less. Sounds like he's doing great on the swim team though. Hope the girls schedule settle soon and you can relax a bit.
Julie, What's new with M&M?
My BIL is getting married this weekend. DJ is the ring bearer, Alicia is the flower girl and DH is the best man. I just have to get everyone there and stay sane. Family and friends are providing the food - so far I've made 10 lbs of potato salad and am making a tomato/boccocini tomorrow morning. DSDs are staying o/n after the wedding and DH is picking them up at 7 tomorrow morning. If they won't be ready, then their mother is going to have to drop them off...we just cannot do it! The wedding is in MILs yard, and she is about to go out of her mind - soon to be SIL's family hasn't done a ding dang thing about this wedding so its all fallen on her. I should have some good stories next week!.

I have no idea why the power was out other than it was scheduled by the base a couple of weeks ago. And no idea when we'll find out about orders other than sometime in the next month.....hopefully. :p
Since it's supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon, I convinced DH to go to Raleigh so Aiden can play in their awesome Marbles museum. This place is fantastic for toddlers through school age! Even better it's just $4 a person.
Nicole, sounds like an interesting weekend! Hope it all goes smoothly. :)

We've had a stressful few weeks. T had a very high fever for 5-6 days and was really sick. We had a few visits to the doctor, x-rays, and bloodwork until the pedi called me very late at night telling us that T had abnormal b/w :( We had to go to the ER and had many more tests taken including more b/w and urine test (I hope no one ever has to see their baby get a cathater! oh my!) We still don't know exactly what was/is going on with him. They did rule out things like meningitis and kawasaki's...and was shocked to hear them talk about cancer (thankfully the numbers are not consistent with that!) Because his wbc count and other proteins were very high, we are guessing that he may have had a bacterial blood infection. With some antibiotic treatments (we're also giving oral meds), he is now fever free. He's now suffering from a tummy ache/ diaper rash from the meds. He's been a trooper through this whole thing, but when he sees a dr or nurse, he tells them "no owies" and points to the door telling me to go "that way" for "bye bye" :( J's been struggling a bit with this whole thing as he witnessed the initial b/w and x-ray and he asks people not to hurt his brother.... We have a few more days of the antibiotic and I'm hoping everyone is healthy... but now T woke up with a runny nose! If he gets another fever I have to take him back in....
Marbles Museum is just a children's museum. No marbles. lol. It has a lot there for crawling babies through elementary school. It's fantastic! I even saw a few middle school kids having fun there Saturday! Aiden loves their play ambulance and firetruck, their water play area, their pirate ship you can climb, and this huge indoor loopy slide. Kid runs around like a maniac for 3 hours every time we're there. Though I only go on Saturdays when DH can join us because it's crowded (at that price and as much as they have, of course it is! lol) and Aiden goes faster than I can go! lol

Cali- I'm so sorry to hear about little T. :( It's so scary when your baby is sick- expecially that sick! I'm so glad to hear he is fever free. I hope the antibiotics take care of whatever is causing this. Prayers for you all! :bigarmhug:
