Thread: Recommend your point and shoot camera

Dh has a bad habit of letting Andrew play with out camera. Andrew has now broken 2 of them. Camera repair people can't even figure out what he did. So now DH owes me a point and shoot.

I want something with a faster shutter speed and that's good with action shots, since my wild things are rarely still.

I don't love ours so I will stalk this thread to see what I will get next. I told DH I want an DSLR by Christmas like a Nikon D60 or D40...something easy to use but with a really quick shutter speed - compared to what I have now.

We have a Panasonic Lumix which we really light. It has a good reaction time and a great zoom. I can't remember the model number though. I think it's the ZS10 (one of the more compact ones)

I have a Kodak M580 and I HATE it! It is too slow and freezes. I spent too much on it a year ago, so I haven't attempted to find a new one. I more frequently use my Canon T2i.

Which Cybershot do you guys have? I was looking at Amazon yesterday and they range from 99-400$. Do you have one with a video option?

I really want a DSL camera too. Maybe I should get a better cell phone camera with video options for day to day stuff and go to the DSL. Costco has a fantastic deal on Rebels right now.....

I would have to look at it cause I cannot remember which one it is but I do know that it was not the cheapest one but it was certainly not the most expensive either. It takes great video.

This is the one I have. Although I can tell you that we didn't pay that for it! Dh bought it for me for my birthday probably 5-6 years ago. It does have a video camera on it.
