    Question RQ - Weekend Edition

What will you do for your LO's for Valentine's Day? Do you buy anything for anyone else for Valentine's day? (niece's/nephew's?) Do you and your dh do anything? Do you even like Valentine's Day?

Dh and I usually don't do anything. Sometimes we exchange chocolates but we're going to Mexico in April and so I asked not to do that this year. We'll get the kids a little box of chocolates and card.

Ava has her last dance class on Valentine's day so we're going to make these for all the little girls in the class. (Thanks, Pinterest!)

DH and I usually buy each other a card and small gift. We try for a date night sometime around then too. For the kids, I do heart shaped pancakes and pink milk for breakfast and always cook a fancy dinner. I tend to get them a small gift, last year DJ got a book and Alicia got a book and a necklace. This year I think DJ is getting a red hotwheels and Alicia will get kid jewelry again. I'm kind of weird, I have a few decorations that I put up etc. I do this for St. Patty's day as well. It helps me to break up the winter months

DH and I typically do not do anything for Valentine's Day. I personally don't really think it is a big deal. We do buy gifts for the kids. This year, they will each get a book and some candy. I might see if I can make something fun for dinner or something, but we all know what a fancy chef I am, so the likelihood of that is slim to none.

Is it terrible that I'm not sure if I will get anything for anyone? Jason and I usually exchange cards but I'm pretty sure there have been years where we haven't. We always go to dinner and that is our gift to ourselves.

At the end of February we are going on a mini baby moon. We have yet to spend one night away from Jordan and I think we better do it now or we won't have the opportunity for a while. I said it could be our Valentine's/baby moon outing.

I got Aiden a $1 straw cup that's in the shape of a heart from Target. I'll probably get him a small milk chocolate bar because he really liked the one piece of chocolate he got in his Christmas stocking.
DH and I don't really do much for it other than I cook a nicer meal and dessert for V Day (usually we don't have dessert for weeks at a time). He gets me flowers. Though I'm not a big flower person, so I kinda wish he'd save the money and let me buy a new purse or shoes.

I bought the boys little Star Wars treats/toys they had in the Vday section at Target. For DH, well, so far he is getting a card, lol. We usually do something small for each other... I just don't know what to get him this year. Maybe a bottle of wine?

We don't do anything really for anyone else. The boys made me (well, I made myself) a canvas print of their hands forming a heart and I attempted this on paper for the grandparents. I just took the boys for some pictures and may use one of them to make Valentine cards for their aunts/uncles and grandparents .... although, this is something I don't normally do.

Amber, I love the Pinterest Vday card ideas! I'm going to make the Valentine's for J's class and I think I am going to attempt cake pops for their teachers.
Mommy to 2 amazing little boys!

    Amber, those are cute!

We did the handprint heart with Miles' hands the other day, I stuck it in a frame. I still want to do Vivi's - just need to plan it for before her bathtime!

I'll probably make some sugar cookie cut-outs with Miles...although I really shouldn't because I'll just eat them all.

Dh and I usually don't do anything...maybe we'll go out to dinner but take Vivian with us? Who knows?! We usually get Miles a little something, a book and stuffed animal. I haven't seen what stores have out for Vday this year because I haven't been out lately!

Tyson and I exchange cards, and I actually really like that tradition because he's always very sweet in writing. I know that he had the kids make me a card because I found its hiding place when I was cleaning. Oops.

We usually go out, but instead of something fancy, we go out to a local diner for breakfast for dinner. Daphne has her follow up appointment with a urologist (long story that I haven't had time to post) on the 14th and I have class during the day as well, so we'll see if we actually make it out this year.

Daphne and I are making little butterfly cards with lollipops (also courtesy of pinterest) for her class. We'll have her make cards for her grandparents and cousins too.
