RQ - Weekend Edition

Where is your favorite place to vacation or escape for the weekend? When was the last time you were there? Share a picture if you have one!

Tell us somewhere you've never been and would like to visit sometime, too!

I really enjoy being on the water. A beach, a lake, I'll take it how I can get it. Lake Powell trips are always really fun. I like getting up into the mountains as well. I haven't done either since last year. Well, we did go to Mexico but that's a differnet type of vacation than a lake trip.

I would LOVE to go to Bora Bora. Sigh! Some day.

THE BEACH! Or camping. Last "vacation" we did was a weekend at Kure Beach, NC where we went camping and spent time at the beach. Perfect and very relaxing with a toddler. A lot of my old vacation dreams aren't what I want now since we won't leave Aiden.
I'm hoping to go up to Kitty Hawk, NC soon so DH can geek out, I can get the beach, and there's a great campground right there.

My favourite vacation spot is camping in Algonquin Park. I like going backcountry, but that hasn't happened in 5 years and won't for at least another 2..but we are heading out "car" camping at the end of the month.

I want to go to Australia and on Safari in Africa. Someday. We are planning to take the kids to Australia when they are 15 or so for two weeks. Africa is mine, and won't happen until the kids are out of school.

I don't have a favorite weekend escape, but my favorite vacation destination is Hawaii. It is beautiful there and so fun and relaxing.

Since having kids, if I were to choose a weekend escape, I'd say taking the kids to Disneyland.... we always have so much fun when we go.

There are a lot of places I would like to go.... when the kids are older, I'd like to take them to Europe.
