How was your Easter? What did you do? Any traditions that you have started with your family? Did your children get way too much candy?

Good, thanks! We went to my parents for Friday/Saturday/Sunday morning and to my ILs for dinner on Sunday. We do outdoor egg hunts with stuffable eggs, the kids love it. Yes, they got TONS of candy...we didn't talk about it so my Mom, me and my sister went shopping for easter stuff. I have half of it in my trunk...we didn't put it out and they still got way to much. I'm bringing a bunch in for my students at their exam next week!

We had a very laid back Easter. Since Isaiah's First Communion is in about two weeks, our families will be traveling to visit that weekend. So, it was just us. I took Isaiah to church (which was crazy packed). The kids enjoyed their Easter baskets and the little things the Easter Bunny brought for them. Other than that, we all lounged in our PJs all day. We did have a nice dinner though.DH cooked! So nice!
Alison is so pretty in her dress!![]()
We had a nice Easter. Saturday we did a lot of Easter art and dyed eggs. Sunday we woke up and had an egg hunt, went to church and spent the day with family.

I hate the internet. Just spent 5 minutes typing up my post just to have it disappear on me! *sigh*
So y'all get the quick version of we skipped mass (yep, heathen Catholics now), dyed Easter eggs, attempted some Easter egg hunting (Aiden kinda got it), and had a good Easter dinner. In between all of that I did cloth diaper laundry, regular laundry, cleaned a chunk of the house, and DH left to study for a few hours. lol

Jackie, Oh my! Those are some blue hands!
Kristi, Alison's dress looks really similar to Vivian's Easter dress. Kohls?
Ours was awful. We skipped church too, Jackie. Vivian took a 2 hour nap in the morning which I thought was PERFECT because she'd be in good spirits for awhile. She woke up, nursed, got changed and we headed to my grandparents which is only 10 minutes away. She SCREAMED -- and I mean SCREAMED -- almost the entire time we were there. Too many new people up in her face.I actually had to go outside with her because it was so loud and I couldn't get her to calm down with everybody in the house. It was awful. She would calm down a little bit and somebody would get up in her face again and she'd start screaming all over. She did fall asleep for a little bit, thankfully we had the stroller in the trunk, so once she woke up and ate a little bit she was somewhat okay. I wasn't able to take hardly any pictures of Miles hunting for eggs, got none of her in her Easter dress, barely ate lunch, hardly able to visit with anybody, etc. because I was too busy trying to keep her quiet. I'm sure everybody was talking about the monster I've created on their way home.

Miles had fun with his cousins though and got way too much candy...and he doesn't even like candy! He hasn't had a single bite of any of it! Did anybody else's kids receive 5 Easter baskets? LOL

Aww, I love Alison's pig tails!
Jackie, you are such a great mom. I didn't even introduce Jordan to coloring eggs this year. I colored a couple but she was off playing and I just let her be.
Ashley, I'm so sorry it was such a tough day. Poor Vivian too. She's not a monster, they can get so overwhelmed at that age. It's too bad you missed out on so much of the day. Hopefully next year will make up for it.
We had a nice day. We went over to my middle sister's house after Jordan's nap. Well, no, that's not right. She spent two hours in her bed not napping, but instead, talking to herself. We ate dinner, colored eggs and let Jordan hunt Easter eggs with her cousin Keely, who is 4. We let them hunt inside because it had rained most of the morning but then they did a little hunting outside after a neighbor left some surprise eggs in the yard. Then we continued the game and hid the eggs in another neighbor's yard. They also played with this fun bubble machine that my niece has. Jordan LOVES bubbles.
Jordan only ended up with one little marshmallow puff. The rest of the eggs had stickers and then a little toy that you put in water and it grows. She really picked up on the hunting quickly and seemed to have a lot of fun with it. She almost immediately tried to steal some out of her cousin's basket but after we told her that wasn't allowed, she didn't try it again. It was a fun day!
Oh, I also felt bad that I didn't get Jordan an Easter dress. It was tradition when I was little but I think we will start that next year.
