    Question RQOTD - Thursday

    Do you like antiques?

If you aren't a big antique person and had to pick something antique for your home, what would you buy?

Yes, we have several. When my grandfather went into assisted living he gave us his dining table and I have several other family pieces as well. But, our house is over 100 years old, so they go with the style of the house as well.

I love antiques, but I feel like a real newbie, in the sense that I can't figure out what I like!

Not really. However, Dh is so when we come across an antique store or something he likes to go look.

If I had to buy antiques I would buy antique toys and furniture for Deacon. I love the look of old toys.

I've had a lot of family antiques given to me (pictures, tables, a bed, etc), but the majority are with my parents decorating their house. I don't want them till DH retires from active duty and we settle down a bit better. My sister (who is only 17 by the way) told me last week that if she settles down in a house before me she's stealing a few pieces.

Jenn- My dad just got my kids the coolist antique toy tops! They are my favorite things ever!! The kids love them too. I'll have to take a picture and show you!

I've never been an antique person. but I can appreciate them and I can always find something I like in a store. But we try hard to keep things simple and clutter free so I don't often buy stuff.

I am not an antique collector by any means but I do have a collection of depression glass. My mom picked a pattern for each of her daughters and she collected pieces over the years for us. I was able to use some of my bowls for our wedding which was really cool. My pattern is blue bubble and I love it.

Only for decorative plates or glass bottles but I don't have much.
