What is your all-time favorite store to shop at? How often do you go there?
~Ashley
Potterybarn and Anthropologie. I go to *maybe* once a year and sometimes not at all, we don't have them in our town. And most of the time I just gaze because they're so darn expensive, but if I had a lot of money that's where I'd be.
I am with you on Pottery Barn. I admire, but it is just too expensive. For clothes, I like Ann Taylor and The Loft, but I can rarely afford their stuff. Too expensive. If I had a lot of money, that is probably where I would buy a lot of my work clothes. Thankfully, I don't live near either store, so I am not tempted to buy things very often.![]()
Melanie- the loft always has sales. Always. Sign up for their mailing list. They send out 40-70% off coupon codes all the time. Plus, they cleanance their stuff often. I've gotten jeans there for 8 dollars.
Kristen- I love PB too! I've never been in a Anthropologies before. there is not one close to me. I look at their stuff online, but I like to see things in person. Expecially clothing. I'm a different size in just about everything. Darn vanity sizing. So annoying.
I have no idea what m favorite store is...it totally depends on my mood. if I had to choose now it's probably Target. they have a little of everything. I just wish they had a crafty area too.
I love Ann Taylor loft for clothes. Home wise, I usually go to the boutiques if I'm looking for something different. Staples wise I buy a lot from Walmart and Homesense. We're struggling a bit financially, so I don't shop that often.

I used to buy all my suits for work from Ann Taylor for the most part. Love their clothes. Also love j.jill for a more relaxed soft clothing. Best jeans.
I do like pottery barn and williams sonoma. I tend to buy more for others than I ever do for me. I might get something special - like Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn but typically when I'm shopping there I'm looking for something unique for a gift. Although I did buy sheets from there earlier this year. And I need to order Matthew's stocking to go with the rest of ours. I don't shop much for myself but thoroughly enjoy shopping for gifts.
Should I continue? I was supposed to pick one store, huh? Nope, I don't like to shop. Not me.
The large mall near me (15 min) has Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, PB Kids, Ann Taylor, AT Loft, Banana Republic, J.Jill, GapKids, Gymboree, Polo baby stuff at Macy's, Old Navy and so much more.
(Oh. And I live in Hallmark.)

I do love Target! As for The Loft..I really do not want the temptation, so I probably will attempt to refrain for signing up for their mailing list.
If I get things like that, I always want to shop. I am sure the deals are good, but they are an hour away and I must try on their clothes. I never know what size to get because all the styles fit so different. As you said in a different post, stupid vanity sizing!
Julie- When I lived near Chicago, which is where I grew up, I lived within driving distance of several large malls. Woodfield Mall was only 6 miles down the road (at one time it was the largest mall in the US...retail space-wise, not actual size), I really miss it. We have a craptastic mall where I live right now. It is tiny and there isn't much there. When the economy went down the toilet, we even lost Old Navy. Sigh! I rarely go there anymore. It is too bad. I love wandering malls. Such fun!![]()
Jenn- That's so funny! I was totally going to say Amazon!![]()
