RQOTD - Thursday

I know we've asked this before, but I'm sure it changes frequently...

What is your child(ren)'s current favorite meal?

Fruit snacks.

He is starting to dislike all his favorites but fruit snacks are the one thing he will always eat.

Pasta. Any kind. She will even eat it plain. But she prefers it with pesto!

Yogurt. It can be greek, plain YoBaby, banana, blubbery, you name it. I used to mix it with all kinds of veggies and she only refused it once when I put pureed broccoli in it, lol. I may start putting sweet potato in it again. She's getting so picky and she needs some veggies.

Ava is a yogurt fan as well. Yogurt and pancakes is her perfect meal. But only "flower yogurt" (vanilla) she won't let me sneak anything into them. But at least I can add to the pancakes to get in some nutrition.

Andrew is all about "juice". He won't eat fruits or veggies, so I've been buying the squeeze pouches of baby food, and we call them "juice". He LOVES them and asks for several a day. I only buy the ones with the green veggies in them. They taste exactly like fresh veggies. I think he likes the delivery system of sucking it out of the pouch. At least he gets in his 5 a day this way.

Bananas. He has one every single morning as part of breakfast. He throws a fit if he doesn't get his morning banana. lol
He also loves macaroni and cheese, cheese quesadillas, and peanut butter sandwiches.
We're having issues trying to get him to eat any vegetables. I have to sneak them in.

For DJ, its all about broccoli. He will pick at everything pretty much, but he LOVES broccoli (weird eh?)
Alicia LOVES raisins. She asks for them constantly.

We just bought two of those the other night. I've had such a hard time feeling well enough to meal plan, shop and cook lately that a those looked ideal. We mixed them with yogurt and she kept asking for more. Is there any way to get a good deal on them? They might be nice to have around until I feel like maybe doing some purees at home again.

On a side note, I had no idea I would still be pureeing food for Jordan at this age but if it means sneaking in a veggie then I figure I need to do it.

Oh Alison loves broccoli. She won't eat it if there is butter on it though.

Kayla, I've been using purred food as part of pasta sauces and as a thickener. I also sneak chopped spinach into as much as I can.

Sadly I do this not just for DS, but for DH as well. Man doesn't think he likes half of the vegetables out there.

Kayla- I have not seen them on sale-ever. Nor are they cheap. Target has the best prices, so far. I wish Andrew would eat homemade pureed veggies, but no dice. I really think he likes the delivery method, drinking from a big straw. Right now I'm okay spending a couple bucks a day to keep him liking veggies. I wish he would eat them like a normal person though.

I've always been curious about those pouches. Honestly, I wasn't sure how they would eat them... I guess they drink them? I may have to check those out.

Right now, Jake's favorite food continues to be chicken nuggets with mac 'n cheese. T's favorite food is currently Christmas cookies Smile He enjoys a lot of foods right now... bananas, yogurt, waffles, pb&j.... or anything I'm eating.

Well, Wednesday Michael told me he forgot to ask Santa for something. When I asked him what it was he said "macaroni and cheese!" So... I'm going to go with that! :bigwink:
