    Question RQOTD - Thursday

How often do you do the following things:

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it?
How about any other cabinet in your bathroom?
Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it?
    Your pantry?
What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often?

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it? We store medicines in a small clear bag. We don't keep much in the house other than the very basics, so they're used (and replaced) regularly.
How about any other cabinet in your bathroom? Everything is gone through very carefully every time we move, but honestly since we have to tote all that stuff with us we don't keep much around but items that we regularly use. We keep everything in 2 small tubs. lol
Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it? Probably every few months. I used to do this every week. And then Aiden came along.
Your pantry? Quite often. I don't like to keep things hanging around, so pretty much whatever is in there is used.
What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often? I wipe down the inside garbage cans every time the bags are changed out (so a couple of times of week for the kitchen, once every 1-2 weeks for bathroom). Outside, never. DH occasionally sprays them down with a hose when he thinks they're getting icky.
The vacuum I clean out the can every time. I used to clean the bottom brush every time I used it, but we don't vacuum nearly as much with it (can only use it upstairs here) so I have yet to clean the bottom brush since moving here. The filter I take out and clean every few months - no more than 6 - which is what they recommend.

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it? Not very often, maybe once a year. I did organize it a couple years ago, and have done a fairly good job keeping it clean. But we have this dumb tall deep cabinet in our bathroom. Most of that is unusable since it's too tall for me to see into or reach the back of. A lot of things get lost in it.
How about any other cabinet in your bathroom? Wehave 2 drawers on the vanity. those are full of my hair stuff and make-up. They are not too messy, but could probably use a clean out and wipe down.
Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it? This morning. I woke up and found everything in the freezer thawed out this morning. I hate our stupid fridge! The doors do not close well. Unknown to me, a kiddo opened the freezer last night and the door didn't alarm to warn me. Grrrrr! Thankfully we keep all our meat in the garage freezer, so I didn't lose much. But annoying all the same.
Your pantry? We don't have one. I use a drawer in the kitchen for non-parishables. But honestly, I don't use it too much, so it doesn't get too out of control.
What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often? You have to clean a vacuum? I empty it. Does that count? I saw this thing on the News that says if your vacuum is getting dusty on the outside, it's not sealing properly. Thankfully ours doesn't get dirty on the outside. I do trash cans when I see something gross on the bottom. Which is almost never for the inside trash cans. Our recycling bin though....it could use a power wash. It gets wet when it's on the curb while it's snowing. I'm too lazy to do anything about it, so now there are bits and pieces stuck to the bottom. I guess I'll assign that project to DH some day.

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it? Probably once a month. It seems like it tends to clutter up very quickly.
How about any other cabinet in your bathroom? The drawers tend to be a catch all of Alison's hair bows and my make-up. I go through it about once a week and put my make-up back in my make-up bag and all her bows and things back in her box.
Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it? All.the.time. I cannot stand it when the fridge is icky.
Your pantry? I no longer have a pantry and it makes me sad. All the food is just in cupboards and since there is not much space we clean it out fairly often.
What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often? This is DH's job. And I have to be honest, I have no idea how often he cleans that stuff. But if I do change out the trash bag, the cans always look clean.

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it? -- Like once a year maybe??

How about any other cabinet in your bathroom? A couple times a year if I am in the mood. The drawers are small, so usually if I don't need something, it gets tossed when I see it.

Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it? Well...DH does this.

Your pantry? When our kids spill the cat food that we keep in a container at the bottom. Occasionally, I go through the food in there to throw away stuff we have not used. Otherwise, I just don't really think about it.

What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often? I clean out the vacuum after I use it. I need to wash the filter, but don't really know how. As for garbage cans, I will admit that it is not often enough. DH takes out the trash, so he cleans the garbage cans most of the time.

Can you tell I am not domestic? Plus, when I am really home and awake for about 5 hours on weeknights and the kids are awake for about 3 of those hours, not much gets done. I would rather play with them than spend the precious time I have cleaning. Now, when I was on spring break, I scrubbed our kitchen counters, cabinets, chairs, table, etc.. (as in I did some deep cleaning, not just washing it down) I cleaned out our living room. I vacuumed several times that week..all over the house. I cleaned all my clutter out of our bedroom. It is amazing what I can get done when I don't work.

Take everything out of your medicine cabinet in your bathroom and clean it? -- Two or three times a year. It drives me insane to have messy medicine cabinets - we have a lot of medicines around, so I am paranoid about keeping it in order.

How about any other cabinet in your bathroom? Twice a year. I throw out stuff as I come across it, but I take everything out when I spring clean, and again in the fall before the Christmas insanity.

Take everything out of your refrigerator and clean it? Three times a year...spring, late summer and Christmas.

Your pantry? Take everything out...twice a year. Tidy and wipe up? Every other week when I do my huge grocery shop. I need to keep it ordered or I have no idea what I have in the house the second week when we are eating "stock" foods, lol.

What about garbage cans, vacuums, etc. Do you clean yours? How often? We only have area rugs in the bedrooms, so we don't vacuum often. I have the deep cleaned once a year (wool) and then they get vacuumed every other week when I do the bedrooms. I empty it when I use it. The garbage cans get cleaned out when I find something yucky in the bottom. Rare, as there is always a bag in them. The outside ones are DH's problem...I doubt they get cleaned very often but since he and the garbage men are the ones who have to deal with them...I've decided I don't care, lol.
