RQOTD - Tuesday

How often do you watch TV? Are there certain shows you like to watch? If so, which ones?

Well, I generally watch the evening news. Other than that, we have netflix so Alicia watches backyardigans and Dora, I watch some of that with her. If I have a sit-down evening I will sometimes put on HGTV. I'm not much of a TV watcher these days, I hate reality TV.

Don't watch it too often. DH will normally have the news on while I am cooking dinner...and we will watch an episode of Sesame Street or Yo Gabba Gabba.

We watch too much tv, honestly. I have several shows that I enjoy.

My favorite shows are:

Supernatural
Burn Notice
Doctor Who
Psych
Modern Family

Some weeks we turn on the TV maybe 3 times and that's to watch stuff on netflix instant watch. Other weeks I'll watch TV every day for a few hours. Right now the TV is on at some point (usually late afternoon and early evening) for me to watch an episode on Netflix and then DH watches one of his episodes on there. We're trying to figure out why the heck we have DirecTV right now since we rarely use it currently.

I watch TV from 8:30 to around 10 every night. I watch DVRed shows or Netflix and catch up on emails at the same time.

We've been watching Damages on Netflix...it's really good! Other than that, I watch Project Runway and that's about it. In January, the second season of Downton Abbey will be released in the US and you can bet I'll be glued to the screen for that. Smile

Julie and Kayla, you'll like Downton Abbey...if you have Netflix you can stream the first season. The costumes are spectacular.

I use to watch several shows a week but then one day I just decided I was over it and now I rarely watch TV. I'd rather have the peace and quiet than the noise. I will set up shows to record on the DVR and then never watch them. The only time its on is when Jus is watching it or I am making dinner and I need Deacon to be inside and busy.

I have my T.V on any time the kids are sleeping. Generally I'm doing other things and only half paying attention. I TIVO a lot of shows.

-How I meet your Mother
-Big Bang Theory
-Grey's Anatomy
-Private Pratice
-Jersey shore (I know, I know)
-Desperate housewives
-Two and 1/2 men
-Modern Family

That's all I can remember off hand, but I know my list is longer. Hi, my name is Amber and I'm a sitcom junkie.

I've never heard of it. I am so sad when Project Runway ends, it would be nice to have a replacement of some kind. What kind of show is it?

Anytime I watch part of a Jersey Shore episode I cannot help but think of the line in Billy Madison about how "now we are all dumber for having listened to it" (or something along those lines). Why, oh why, can those kind of shows be so entertaining?

My regular shows are:

Modern Family
The Middle
Project Runway
So You Think You Can Dance (the last season was so boring, I didn't even finish it)
The Office
Parks and Rec

I think that's it? I do want to see Up All Night. I love Christina Applegate. She was great in Samantha Who which was canceled way too early. I'm sure I will be able to relate to the humor too. Wink

I used to watch SYTYCD, but I agree, the last season wasn't very good...I stopped watching after a few episodes. We also watch How I Met Your Mother when it's on, but never live. We don't have cable and we watch pretty much everything online.

Kayla, Downton Abbey is about a wealthy family in England. It starts with the sinking of the Titanic and the first season ends with the start of WWI. It's so beautifully done. Have you seen Upstairs Downstairs or Gosford Park? It's by the same guy.

Kayla- ROFL that quote perfectly describes Jersery shore! DH refuses to watch a single second of it. I have to TIVO and wait until nap time to see it. It's totally my guilty pleasure.

Is anyone else super excited for The Voice this season? I'm not a fan of Idol at all, but I loved The Voice! Even DH, who's T.V viewing is limited to the History Channel or Formula 1 racing, watched it with me. I can't wait for it to come back! Biggrin
