What is the closest store to your house? If it isn't the grocery store, how far away is your grocery store?
Julie
The closest store is the convenience store dh's family owns. It's 3 miles (or slightly less) away. The nearest grocery store is about 8 miles away. However, I don't typically get a lot of groceries there because the prices are insane!

There are a few gas stations that are probably 1.5 miles away. The grocery store is a 4 mile round trip. We walk or run it every now and then. In the same complex is a yummy pizza place and a Dairy Queen. Evey now and then we walk to dinner there too.
I have to say I was disappointed with the Nutter Butter Blizzard... maybe it's because I'm used to the chocolate in my cookie dough blizzardI did try the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard the other day (well, I finished Jake's as he heard the name and insisted on ordering a Pumpkin Pie LIZARD)...it' wasn't too bad.
We have a grocery store, gas station, and small shops 1 mile from our house. Everything else shopping-wise is about 2-3 miles away.

We have a plant store down the road. The grocery store is about 3 miles away. It's in a pretty busy area with a grocery store, Ross, TJMaxx, Hometown Depot, Lowes, and a few fast food places.
We have a huge shopping complex less than a mile away. It has a Super Target and pretty much every big box store you can think of along with a ton of local restaurants and chains. There are probably over 100 businesses in the complex. There's even a playground and a stage where they have live music once a week in the evenings.
that's awesome, Joy! If I can't be in the mountains, I'd love to be in a area that is foot friendly.
Although, I don't know if living walking distance to a Target would help me spend less- since I could only buy what I could carry. Or, if I would spend more since I could walk there if Iwas bored.![]()
