RQOTD - Tuesday

What was the last meal you ordered at a restaurant? Where were you eating?

We ate at PF Chang's for lunch over the weekend. DH and I shared chicken lettuce wraps and Chang's spicy chicken. The kids shared the Honey chicken from the kids menu and to my shock ate every bite! They barely touch a meal at restaurants, let alone finish it!

I ordered tortellini (sp?) at the Spaghetti Factory. We went there on Sunday per J's request (he doesn't ask to do this). He asked daddy is the sweetest voice.... "can we go to the spaghetti factory for dinner, please?" How do you say no to that?? The boys had pasta, applesause, bread and ice cream. T developed a new sign while at dinner that night. He combined the sign for "cold" and with "more" (really he was signing, cold/more; cold/more; etc) as his way of asking for more ice cream. It was pretty funny! Smile

I had chicken fettuccini (sp?) at The Spaghetti Factory on Saturday. We got a gift card for Christmas. It was actually very tasty...I can't believe how much pasta Alison packed away....along with ice cream for dessert.

Amber, I love PF Chang's! I've been wanting to eat there for the last month and still haven't gotten there.

Cali, that is adorable!!! I love watching them learn new signs or when they make up their own.

Kristi, it looks like the ice cream is a popular item. Smile

We went to Copeland's (New Orleans cuisine) on Saturday night. I ordered chicken parmesan that had a little cajun spice to it and it was delicious. ETA: They served it with the yummiest biscuit I've ever had. I think it had garlic butter on the bottom and it was so fluffy. I need more of those biscuits.

We went to a local mexican restaurant. I had chicken and cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. My kids love their enchildada/quesadilla combo. The closest Spaghetti Factory and PF Chang's restaurants are in Indianapolis. So, we don't get there often. Someday soon, we will have to go though. Biggrin

As a native of suburban Chicago, I am partial to Pizzeria Uno, or as most people call it...Uno's. Unfortunately, the closest one closed. Sad I was so disappointed. It was like a taste of my childhood.

Um...I can't remember the last time I ate in a restaraunt. How sad is that? I think we went to a chinese buffet a while ago...I think I had some of everything but I really remember the crab legs. Yum.

Cali & Kristi- how funny you both went to The Spaghetti Factory AND had ice cream! I cannot remember the last time I went to the Spaghetti Facroty here. We went a lot when we were litlte though. They have a train inside the restaurant that you can dine in. Andrew would love that, I really should take him.

And, Cali- I love that T made up his own sign for ice cream! The more/cold combo is very clever What a little smartie! Smile

Nicole- You need to treat yourself to a dinner out!

Kayla- I LOVE me a good biscuit! When I come down, we'll add that place to our eat-a-thon, to make up for the goo balls. Wink

Melanie- I cannot believe they closed a PF Changs near you. Although, I'm really not a big fan of anything on the menu other than the chicken lettuce wraps. But those lettuce wraps are SO darn good they keep me coming back for more.

I used to live in NW IN and that is one thing I do miss out here... the awesome, amazing deep dish pizza!!! We may visit family out there this year and if we do, we will definitely be going out for pizza!

My little guy doesn't have a lot of words, but man, does he know his signs!!

Kristi - too funny that we both went to spaghetti factory! I worked at this restaurant through college...and actually met DH there Smile Now the boys enjoy it. Both of the restaurants by me have the trolley car inside and the atmosphere is very kid friendly.

We drove from TX to TN today and it took us 12.5 hours! We ate lunch at Applebee's. I had a half salad and half of their chicken roll up thing.

We went to our favorite Thai place over the weekend. I had Chicken Gang Dang Curry (which of course we always call the "gang bang" because we're juvenile and enjoy the endless jokes). Can never have too much gang bang. Ha.

Joy- That would make me snicker too. I would have to order it just so I could say Gang bang to the waiter. Hello, my name is Amber. I am 12. Wink

Andrew is working on PTing. He's doing great, but I always remind him to keep his pants dry. He has these undies with footballs, soccer balls, and baseballs on them. Over the weekend I put them on him after his swimming lesson. In the middle of the very crowded family locker room I told him, "Andrew you need to keep your balls dry. Tell Mommy when you need to potty." G about fell over with laughter. It took me a minute to full understand what I said. Now I cannot look at those undies with out giggling.

We don't have a Spaghetti Factory here. I think I would like that!

Nicole, agreed! You need to treat yourself to a night out. Biggrin

Amber, that's hilarious!!

Jackie, did you make it to your destination?? How did Aiden do w/all the driving?

We ate at Culver's over the weekend. Miles and I shared a chicken strip basket w/french fries.

We're currently at my ILs house outside of Memphis. We'll continue on to NC this weekend.
I actually drove our RAV 4 and uhaul. DH drove his car with the cat and kid. I think I got the better deal by far since we drove 12.5 hours in one day. Wink
