What type of shoes do you buy for yourself? Is there a certain brand you prefer? How about style?

My name is Kristi...and I am a shoe-a-holic. I love shoes. Any shoes. I am not loyal to one particular brand except for my running shoes.

All I wear is my Toms, flip flops or running shoes. Being short, I use to rock some super high heels but somewhere along the way I turned into a little old lady. Shoes without decent support make my hip hurt. I'm not loyal to any brand really. Currently my flip flops are Teva and my running shoes alternate between Brooks and Acisics.

I'm not shoe picky about brands and styles. If its cute and it fits, I buy it! I have a lot of wedges and ballet flats though.

Amber, are the Toms supportive? I totally asked this question because I need new shoes badly so killing 2 birds w/1 stone. Biggrin I usually buy what catches my eye, LOVE flats - but lately my feet are killing me when I am wearing them. I can tell they're worn out and have NO support at all. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of Toms.

I am not really into shoes. I buy a new pair of shoes for exercise every 6 months. I can always tell when I need them because my plantar fasciaitis flares. I really need new work shoes, but have just not found anything I like. I wish I could wear heels more. I hate how flats look with my pants. Now that warm weather s approaching, it is time to start looking for sandals. I got rid of almost all of my sandals last summer. I am not really dictated by brand. I will say that I love my Nike Free TR shoes for Zumba. I am getting ready to buy some new ones this week. Smile

I don't favor one brand over another. I shop for what I need or for what is cute! I have all kinds of styles.... gym shoes, casual Pumas, flip flops, all kinds of sandals, short/ tall boots, etc....

For work I love Sketchers...relatively cute and I can stand in them all day..plus closed toe and heel, which is a must in an anatomy lab. Otherwise, what is cute and goes with what I am wearing works for me. I avoid cheap shoes because I supinate badly and need the support and I don't wear super high heels unless we are going to a wedding or out for a fancy date night!

Not really. But they are better than most flat shoes. They only hurt my old lady hip if I wear them on days where I'm up and on my feet all day, for multiple days in a row. So I don't wear them to places like a zoo or muesum or on walks. But for my general day to day life they work well for me. I like mine a lot and I think I'll get a second pair when I decide what colors I want. Probably the ballet flat ones. Smile

I started wearing dansko's long ago because of my leg. Find them to be quite supportive and comfortable.

------------

I'm not a huge shoe person. I have a pair of dansko's, puma sneakers currently, anne klein iflex slip ons, heels that are Franco Sarto and another pair of heels that I can't think of the brand name right now.

You are not going to find any fancy shoes in my closet. For sneakers I like Mizuno or Ecco. For flats and casual shoes I like Rocket Dog or Blowfish but I'm not loyal to one brand. I just tend to like their styles, colors, etc. I do not wear heels at all. I lack that lady gene that keeps me from breaking my ankles when walking on spiky heels. I also wear a lot of flip flops in the summer and my favorite pair are from AE because they are the most comfortable ones I have.
