What kind of lights do you like in your home? Do you have any that are unique? (share a picture if you'd like) Have you noticed how popular chandeliers have become? Master bathrooms, girls rooms, foyers, etc. Do you have one (or more) in your house? Who cleans it?![]()

Ava has a chandelier in her room. I have not yet cleaned it, but it hasn't been up too long. Our bedroom and Andrew's room have generic ceiling fans with lights that were here when we moved in. I use the ceiling fan at night, so if and when we replace our bedroom light, it will be with another ceiling fan. Andrew is not a fan of the fan (ha!) but he is a hot box when he sleeps. I think eventually he will want it, so I'll probably leave that alone too.
Our kitchen and basement have recessed lighting. Above our kitchen table is this track lighting thing. It's okay for now but I want to replace it. Our contractor said it's a crazy expensive light. That surprised me because it's only okay looks and function wise.
Our living room has a ceiling fan that is a craftsmen style. It does not match anything, nor does it put out any usable light. I haven't bothered to look to relpace it yet. We use lamps for lighting. We have a floor lamp and table lamp similar to these

We have a mini-chandelier in our wine "room". Ummmm.. I have not cleaned it. Gross, right? (I can't reach it)
The rest of the house is pretty basic. Our master bedroom we have a Waterford crystal light cover on our ceiling. I love it as it reflects the crystal on the ceiling when the light is on. I also love that I found it on clearance at the outlet store!![]()

We have track lighting in the halls, in part of the master and in the kitchen. I have replaced every light fixture in our house, so I like them allThere are pot lights in the master, but everywhere else its impossible to put them in. In DJ and Alicia's room they have ceiling fans. Ceiling fan in the sun room. We have a non-traditional chandelier in the dining room. Its quite unique and I love it. Its made of what looks like oil rubbed bronze with daisies and little leaves going up the stems to the lights. I don't have a picture of it, sorry. My chandelier does not require any special cleaning besides dusting.

We have cheapo lights everywhere in the house. We're not allowed to change any of them out. They're all very very basic and mostly ugly.

We have pretty generic lights in all of the rooms. The bedrooms all have a celing fan and I like that because we often use the fans in the summer months.
I told dh recently that I'd like to change out the light above our kitchen sink to be a kitchen colander. So that's possibly a future project.

Cali- I'd love to see a picture of your wine room, too.
